All along the path of life, we are all constantly forced to make choices. It is those choices that we make the define us as a person

Lots of people in the High Desert of San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties are having financial problems. The number of foreclosures and bankruptcies have been higher the last couple of years than ever before.

It might be understandable that the Democrat nominee for the 36th Assembly District, Linda K. Jones, declared bankruptcy this last February. (See bankruptcy documents linked below.) What can’t possibly be explained is her choice to donate money to her political campaign before paying off the taxes she owes to the state and federal government from 2008, let alone the rest of her lengthy list of creditors.

Her recently discovered bankruptcy filing from February has brought to light that during 2008, Jones failed to pay both State and Federal income taxes. As listed on page 22 of her bankruptcy filing, Linda Jones is $2,333 delinquent in her payment of State Income taxes. (See Page 22 linked below.) She also owes $3,523 to the Federal Government.

This brings her total back taxes owed to $5,856.

However, at the same time she failed to pay her taxes, she was contributing heavily to her own campaign. On March 12, 2010, she paid $2,650 in fees associated with filing her candidacy paperwork. Three days later, she loaned her campaign an additional $3,000. These two expenses total $5,650, or would have paid off all but $206 of her tax debt.

The spending priorities in Sacramento clearly don’t reflect the priorities of the people in the high desert. Linda Jones’ priorities would appear to be perfectly in line with the tax and spend members of the Assembly Democratic Caucus.

With candidates like these, it will only make an already bad 2012 for Democrats even worse.

Chevy dealership new or or a transfer from Palmdale?

What do you think? The theater was packed for a 9 p.m. Saturday screening of the Martin Scorsese horror movie 'Shutter Island' when the victim complained about a woman near him who was using a cellphone during the show.

She and two men with her left the movie theater.

Two men returned a few minutes later and stabbed the victim, said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.

The victim was hospitalized but is expected to survive.

Two other people who attempted to help the victim were also injured in the altercation.

Sheriff's officials describe the suspects as black males.

One man was wearing an orange hat with an orange jacket or jersey.

The other man was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on the attack is asked to contact the Lancaster sheriff's station at (661) 948-8466.

This article gives great insight into the people that are raised in entitlement programs and how generational dependency becomes something right to them instead of a helping hand.

They done get it the our taxes pay for these programs. I hope the investigate her family also.
