I found it absolutely hilarious that Drew Mercy of all people was complaining about a "hit" mailer.

Whatever else you may think about Jim Ledford, at least he SIGNS his mailers, unlike various other unnamed Republican groups.

Where was Drew Mercy when the Ken Mann hit mailers came out?

Oh wait. I'm sorry, it's not about the mailer, it's about who it's on! My bad.

How Will Sharon Runner Get Around

One of the first questions I hope someone asks Sharon Runner in debate is how she plans to get from the Antelope Valley to Sacramento. Many members of the State Legislature drive their own economy vehicles or take inexpensive airlines. If she maintains a residence in Sacramento, doesn't that disqualify her from running?

Will Sharon continue to use dwindling State resources to fly in and out of Fox Field instead of Burbank Airport? My understanding is that it costs thousands of dollars to fly in and out of Fox Field, while it's about $39 each way from Burbank.

Will Darren Parker commit to taking cheaper transportation to Sacramento to save taxpayer dollars?

Maybe we can actually have an election this time instead of an anointing.

New Quartz Hill T-shirt

I saw a great T-shirt in Quartz Hill the other day. It said, "My Mayor went to China, and all I got was this lousy Wal-mart."

Love it.

Islander's Post (Uncensored)

Wednesday, August 11 2010 - 04:27 PM
Chevy dealership new or or a transfer from Palmdale?
What do you think? Is Lancaster stealing the Chevy dealership or is this a new dealership that negotiated with the two cities and Lancaster won?

I viewed the Lancaster CC meeting last night. Palmdale’s Lawyer was almost arrested, he acted like a jerk.

The article comes right on the heels of Matt Keltner praising Parris for coming down on the right side of the issues. How could the two NOT be connected? Obviously Matt, with his connections, probably knows something about the Mayor that has yet to, you know...come out. What type of secrets have been closeted away over there in City Hall? Enquiring minds want to know!!

This "coming out" will no doubt dismay many in the Lancaster Baptist set. His initiative to have show tunes playing on all City streets as cars drive over them is a big hit in a certain segment of the community, as is his dedication to restoring the Judy Garland house on Lancaster Boulevard. The theater people on the Boulevard are absolutely ecstatic. "We're hoping to bring 'Rent' to the Lancaster Performing Arts Center," gushed Karel Francis and his boy friend Maurie Woods. "This turn in Mr. Parris is absolutely music to my ears!," he continued. "You take one look at those cowboy boots, and....I think you get my drift," Woods added.

In light of Mayor Parris new (show) tune at City Hall, the Back Door bar on Avenue I may consider moving to downtown Lancaster to take advantage of the new "ambience" and "openness," spurred by Mr. Parris' flamboyance.

When asked for comment, Councilwoman Sherry Marquez had a seizure and had to receive medical care. Her physicians assure us that she will have a Scripture ready tomorrow.

Does Rex Parris' new mania to redecorate downtown Lancaster, bring in the theater types, and play show tunes on City streets mean that he's suddenly an advocate for alternate life styles? Time will tell. Until then, ta-ta.

How did Rex Know??

Just watching the Time Warner Debate that Rex minions have been touting as the one that Arnie ran from. The question I would love to hear his minions answer is, how did Rex know that Arnold had a calendar issue, "BEFORE ARNOLD RODIO EVEN SHOWED UP????"

Either Rex has super powers of knowing the future or he set this up with Time Warner.

Take a look at the recording and see for yourself.

If you want a Mayor that plays dirty tricks with the election system, Rex is YOUR GUY!

Take a look at it No Spin, and see if you can figure out how he knew that Arnold had calendar issues BEFORE ARNOLD GAVE ANY REASON FOR NOT BEING THERE. Maybe he had car trouble. Maybe he was ill....but NO. Rex figured it out that it was a calendar issue.

I can now see why you guys support Rex. He has super powers! Maybe the Eye in the Sky saw Arnold's calendar.

If you elect Rex, you get what you deserve.

Mayor Parris, Councilman Smith, and Commissioner Crist Urge You to VOTE!

LANCASTER – Mayor Rex Parris, Councilmember Ron Smith, and Criminal Justice Commissioner Marvin Crist are urging all Lancaster residents to get out and vote on April 13th, 2010. The woman was going to City Hall to get a schedule of parks activites.

"I think this is the type or proactive leadership we need in our community," said Mayor Parris. "When I see a need, I attack with every ounce of my being," continued the Mayor.

"I believe this shows his commitment to public safety," said Vice Mayor Ron Smith. "I shudder to think what could have happened if Mayor Parris had not opened that door. Oops! Strike that. I didn't mean to say anything about guarding doors. I demand that you not print that or I'll have a bunch of guys park in front of your house!" screamed Smith.

Retired Deputy Tom Piggott said, "Mayor Parris really put his life on the line for that senior citizen. I think he is willing to give his life for his community. A gang member might have been on the other side of that door!"

When asked for comment, Mayoral candidate Arnold Rodio said, "you actually want me to comment on him opening a door?" Immediately one of Parris' supporters shouted, "there you go again, attacking Rex Parris. How many doors have YOU opened Mr. Rodio? Hm?? Why weren't you there opening her door??"

Council Candidate Marvin Crist said, "I'm all about public safety, creating jobs, and all of the candidates are good people."

Several of Rex Parris' supporters, who happened to be women were unable to comment because they were moaning in ecstasy at seeing Rex Parris do something.

Building a Muslim Community

In recent news, an imam in the South Florida city of Pocotucket was elected Mayor.

In his first State of the City presentation, he addressed a group of clergymen and women and stated that he wanted to "build a Muslim community." He stated that he knew that this would be controversial, but since it was the will of the constituency, he was going to move forward.

His plan called for building a mosque in every neighborhood to help promote Muslim values. He also stated that police loudspeakers would drive around the City at prayer times five times a day to call the faithful to prayer.

"I really think this is a very inclusionary move on our part," said Mayor Musil al-Talib. "We are letting people know that the Muslim religion wants to include everybody. I cannot figure out why there are some Christians in our community that have a problem with this. I think they are just trying to embarrass me politically. This has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with making a better community," he continued.

Al-Talib says that he hopes that other communities take a stand and start establishing Muslim cities throughout the nation.

Sock Puppet Contest (uncensored)

Better hurry up and provide an uncensored version of this blog before all of the comments other than Ron and Rex' get deleted.

The person who can guess the exact number of sock puppets DBW uses on any given day will receive a virtual prize in heaven, or in hell. A bonus will be given for anyone who identifies the current sock puppet of the lizard lady.

Does the creation Jack Unger and Mulder mean DBW has put to rest Harding Republican, lancaster and Hobo Junction?

One last question for discussion, is it a sign of mental illness when a person carries on an internet conversation with their own sock puppet identities, and do we risk falling into mental illness by engaging in a conversation with them?
