If you lock the door with a key, rather than with a remote, it would force that one last look in the car before leaving it. � Always lock your car and keep keys and remotes away from children. � Keep a stuffed animal in the front passenger seat as a reminder of a child in the backseat. � Place something in the backseat that you would need, such as a purse, briefcase or cell phone. � Have a plan that your childcare provider will call you if your child does not show up. � If you see a child alone in a car, especially if they seem hot, call 911 immediately to help get them out. Not only do cops say that 29-year-old Hawthorne resident Shawndeeia Bowen was texting while driving on Tuesday afternoon, but she was allegedly doing so while carrying her baby daughter on her lap. Well the race to replace Steve Knight in the CA 36th seat is moving on and there are a couple of new endorsements surfacing. Ron Smith picked up three of the city council members from South of the Cactus Curtain; Mayor Pro Tem Steve Hofbauer and Palmdale City Councilmembers Mike Dispenza and Laura Bettencourt. Is Buck's wife in or out on the R side of the ditch? So who is running on the Democrat side of the ditch? Steve Fox seems to be the only announced Democrat running, will there be others? By the way, I haven't seen any endorsements for Fox being announced. Too early in the race for endorsements yet, or is Fox too far out of the mainstream of the Democratic party thinking.
