Examiner Editorial: Obama gives Interpol power beyond US law Examiner Editorial December 30, 2009 No presidential statement or White House press briefing was held on it. All that can be found about it on the official White House Web site is the Dec. 17 announcement and one-paragraph text of President Barack Obama�s Executive Order 12425, with this innocuous headline: �Amending Executive Order 12425 Designating Interpol as a public international organization entitled to enjoy certain privileges, exemptions, and immunities.� In fact, this new directive from Obama may be the most destructive blow ever struck against American constitutional civil liberties. No wonder the White House said as little as possible about it. There are multiple reasons why this decision is so deeply disturbing. First, the Obama order reverses a 1983 Reagan administration decision in order to grant Interpol, the International Criminal Police Organization, two key privileges. First, Obama has granted Interpol the ability to operate within the territorial limits of the U.S. without being subject to the same constitutional restraints that apply to all domestic law enforcement agencies. Second, Obama exempted Interpol�s domestic facilities � including its office within the U.S. Department of Justice � from search and seizure by U.S. authorities, and from disclosure of archived documents in response to Freedom of Information Act requests filed by U.S. citizens. Think very carefully about what you just read: Obama has given an international law enforcement organization that�s accountable to no other national authority the ability to operate as it pleases within our own borders. And he freed it from the most basic measure of official transparency and accountability: the FOIA. The Examiner has asked for but not received from the White House press office an explanation of why the president signed this executive order and who among his advisers was involved in the process leading to his doing so. Unless the White House can provide credible reasons to think otherwise, it seems clear that Executive Order 12425�s consequences could be far-reaching and disastrous. To cite only the most obvious example, giving Interpol free reign to act within this country could subject U.S. military, diplomatic and intelligence personnel to the prospect of being taken into custody and hauled before the International Criminal Court as �war criminals.� As National Review Online�s Andy McCarthy put it, the White House must answer these questions: Why should we elevate an international police force above American law? Why would we immunize an international police force from the limitations that constrain the FBI and other American law-enforcement agencies? Why is it suddenly necessary to have within the Justice Department a repository for stashing government files that will be beyond the scrutiny of Congress, American law enforcement, the media and the American people?

While I was in there, I unlatched the back window to make my return a little easier. 3. Love those flowers. That tells me you have taste ... And taste means there are nice things inside. Those yard toys your kids leave out always make me wonder what type of gaming system they have. 4. Yes, I really do look for newspapers piled up on the driveway. And I might leave a pizza flyer in your front door to see how long it takes you to remove it. 5. If it snows while you're out of town, get a neighbor to create car and foot tracks into the house. Virgin drifts in the driveway are a dead giveaway. 6. If decorative glass is part of your front entrance, don't let your alarm company install the control pad where I can see if it's set. That makes it too easy. 7. A good security company alarms the window over the sink. And the windows on the second floor, which often access the master bedroom-and your jewelry. This is an interesting idea and it makes total sense ! The President has insulted the Americans. He needs to be insulted while being impeached. He has no respect as a president for anyone to offer him. I don't believe this was a stunt by the couple but a planned and plotted stunt by the whole administration. Maybe Obama is trying to get rid of some of the security that knows something going on or he does not want to see going on. We may never know the real truth but u can bet if they keep making a joke out of this, honoring the couple with no wrong doings, and fire some security then it was a plot to get rid of security. We have the most corrupt adminstration that has ever been in the White House and I pray they(THE ADMINISTRATION) will be handled properly with time but am afraid it will get much worse before it gets better. I AM SICKENED BY THEM BRINGING UP THIS 'HANDSHAKEN GUY' TO MAKE ALL THINGS LOOK BACK ON THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. If Bush had ordered all Americans to be killed by lethal injection but failed to carry through and Obama started doing it, some of u would just say well Bush started it so it's not Obama's fault. We are all going to die from dehydration from puking ourselves to death if we keep hearing about Bush. The ones that support Obama at this point are either paid, evil, or just downright ignorant. The ones being paid and the evil will be the only ones that win so you ignorant ones better open your eyes before its too late. One thing I will agree upon is some of you ignorant will be needing some healthcare before its over but the middleclass and old folks will not be able to pay for it so ur needs may not get met. The only good I see coming from this president is an offer for a resignation to put him in the decent standings with Richard Nixon or nothing left but impeachment.

A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president. Dear President Obama, My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert. I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country. One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man. So here goes. I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish. I can't figure out what country you are the president of. You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like: " We're no longer a Christian nation" " America is arrogant" - (Your wife even announced to the world,"America is mean- spirited. " Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.) I'd say shame on the both of you but I don't think you like America nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House. After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals." Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected. Take a little advice from a very old geezer,young man. Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves. On 30th and Ave S and 4 blks or so north their were 9 saquad cars heading to one of the tracts and then at the mall a cop had somebody pulled over and at the entrance/exit on 10th west it looks like a ped vs. motorist accident. Are we having a full moon ?

Kid hit in front of QHHS

Please think positive thoughts. About 3:30 today in the crosswalk by QHHS a student was hit. The person who was with him told us it was bad. He had a bone protruding from his arm he was unconcious and was spitting up blood at one point. His legs were tweaked. I sure hope he will be alright.
