It seems that in their efforts to be righteous in their prayers, they have stooped to deceive, lie, and break their own rules.

It is a tremendous irony that they lie and break their own rules to promote prayers to Jesus. I'm sure Jesus is really proud. Sarcasm intended.

Rex Goes New Age

Does anybody know how Rex' recent conversion to the New Age Movement is sitting with the Lancaster Baptist folks?

I kind of thought they believed that the New Age Movement was Satanic.

I could be wrong.

Rex's Beef Against Veterans

Does anybody know what Rex Parris has against veterans? He has yet to show up at a Memorial Day or Veterans' Day event at either Joshua or Lancaster Cemetery to honor veterans since he was elected Mayor. He even failed to show up to the Veterans' Parade both last year AND this year.

To top it all off, this year, he scheduled a business event on Veterans' Day to push legal services to churches. I heard a few church leaders were pretty ticked off about it.

I am very surprised at this since he makes such a big deal about supporting cops. Many cops are veterans of the Armed Services. Could it be that there's just no political percentage in supporting veterans?

Where is all the conservative outrage? I don't get it. Could one of the Rex puppets explain why he doesn't like veterans?

The Business Community is Rumbling

Rex and his minions like Dean like to tout Rex' massive "popularity" as reasons why he can do what he wants. There's only one problem: people still think for themselves. You can milk your political cow for only so long until another power group figures out how to do it, and someone in that group decides that they are willing to say and do anything to beat their opponent. Just like Rex.

Rex' power emanates from the fact that he is willing to do and say things that most people are prohibited by their own personal sense of morality from doing. When one has NO sense of morality and ethics, there is really very little that someone won't do. Evil definitely has the edge over Good because Evil can and will do Good, but Good will never do Evil.

Enough philosophy. Bottom line. There is an uprising beginning in the business community. Political sniping is bad for business. Fresco II wanted to build in Lancaster, but because the owner refused the "wet the beak" of the political players in Lancaster, he moved to Palmdale. Lawsuits over stupid things like prayer do not encourage working and investment capital. People trying to do business with out of town clients are getting shot down because we are the "racist" city of Northern Los Angeles County.

Change may be in the works because if there's anything business owners do not like, it's breaks in their cash flow. Lancaster has gone from being one of the most business friendly cities in Los Angeles County to one of the least business friendly cities, with a jump in unemployment. All under Rex' watch.

Maybe all of you Rex lovers can get together and pray in the name of Jesus. Maybe that will bring jobs and industry. I'm guessing, however, that as long as Rex is mayor, the only industry that will grow will the personal injury attorney industry.

Sincere's posting (uncensored!!)

Ledford is not a crook?????

How does this guy stay out of jail?
FPPC Complaint

In his position as Mayor of the City of Palmdale, Jim Ledford voted to give the Aero Institute a special $1/year lease, well below market value. He also has voted to give a city contract worth $750,000 to Shaw & Associates, a private company. Jim Ledford has taken a consultant position with Complex Culture Change. Shaw and Associates is owned by Kim Shaw. Kim Shaw is also the President of the Aero Institute, in partnership with Aero Institute Executive Director Susan Miller. Susan Miller, through her Complex Culture Change company is now paying Jim Ledford between $10,000 and $100,000 a year for consultant services. In short, Jim Ledford voted to give a below market lease to Susan Miller and Kim Shaw, over three-quarters of a million dollars to Kim Shaw, and in return, Susan Miller is paying Jim Ledford for vaguely defined consulting work.
Description, With as Much Particularity as Possible, of Facts Constituting Alleged Violation: (Attach additional pages as necessary.)
Since 2003, the Palmdale City Council, with Jim Ledford presiding and voting in favor, has given the Aero Institute, of which Susan Miller is the Executive Director and Kim Shaw is President, a $1/year lease, well below market rate.
On December 6, 2006, the Palmdale City Council, with Jim Ledford presiding and voting in favor, granted Shaw & Associates, of which Kim Shaw is an is the owner, a contract worth $330,000 over two years. On November 4, 2009, the Palmdale City Council, with Jim Ledford presiding and voting in favor, granted Shaw & Associates an additional contract worth over $430,000 over two years.
In July, 2009, Jim Ledford announced that he was taking a consulting job he could not identify. Later, in October, 2009, Jim Ledford came forward to state he was taking payments for consulting work from Complex Culture Change under the direction of Susan Miller.
In an article in The Antelope Valley Press, City Attorney Matthew Ditzhazy said there was no conflict in Jim Ledford accepting money from a company he’s voted to give below market leases, in addition to $300,000 in public funds, merely because his contract claims it was unconnected to anything related to his position as Mayor.
A mayor or member of a city council may not take money from a company or individual whom he has voted to enrich with public funds or otherwise benefit.
Please investigate and take action against this major ethical breach.
(Please attach copies of any available documentation regarding the violation, for example, checks, campaign materials, etc., if applicable to the complaint.)

Marvin Crist could build a coalition with Ken Mann and Johnathan Ervin. Rex would have to clear all of his appointees with Marvin Crist before they could pass muster. I wonder if Rex has thought of that. He better start throwing some campaign money Ron Smith's way RIGHT NOW!!!

Marvin Crist could be the true Mayor of Lancaster. Interesting to watch.....

"Swimming with the Mayor" ends in near Catastrophe"

(LANCASTER) Based on the suggestion of one letter writer to the Valley Press, the City of Lancaster attempted to host a “swimming with the Mayor” event at Eastside Pool last week. “Everything started out fine, but when that man with the cut finger got in the water, the Mayor got really agitated,” said one observer. “I guess that’s what happens when sharks smell blood.”

Fortunately for the participants, a couple of other personal injury attorneys were nearby, and they were able to get in the water to calm the mayor down. When the mayor was escorted from the water, the other attorneys mentioned that he wouldn’t attack them due to professional courtesy.

“I think the idea was good, but the execution was pretty poor,” said a City Parks Department employee who asked to remain anonymous for fear of being fired. “Maybe we can make sure that nobody enters the water with any open sores. The next time, there may not be any other attorneys nearby so we really need to be careful.”

There was no comment from the mayor because he was still thrashing around a bit at press time.

Rex Parris is being brought up on ethics charges by Lancaster Boulevard business owners. “The man is crazy,” said Steve Real, owner of Boulevard Building Blocks. “He thinks because he’s mayor that he can do anything he wants!”

Mr. Real’s statement is based on an accusation that Mayor Parris cut in line at the Brooklyn Deli during lunch rush recently. Other patrons of the Boulevard Deli said that Mayor Parris walked into the eatery with his armed bodyguards, and proceeded to glare at people who were in front of him in line. One witness who asked not to be named for fear of having trucks parked in front of their house and shoe polish on their windows said, “I was waiting in line like everybody else when he started looking at all the people in front of him. People started whispering that the Mayor was in line and that people who get in his way come to bad ends. I didn’t want my knish THAT bad. I moved.”

Apparently the mayor ordered a turkey sandwich with light mayonnaise and a diet soda. Fortunately for the other hungry patrons they didn’t have to wait for the bodyguards to order since it seems that they don’t eat.

Mayor Parris could not be reached for comment because he’s dealing with other weighty matters related to City business.

Despite the fact that this is illegal at the Federal level, the Mayor of Lancaster is majorly "jonesing" to get in front of this issue.

"Medical marijuana is good for the community, dude" said the mayor. "It's really good for all kinds of stuff that's bad for you. Some righteous dude with a lot of letters after his name said that it was good for glock, glok, gloko....some really bad eye thing," added the mayor.

He also stated that it would help support the City's economic stimulus program. "We have a lot of fast food places that could really use a bunch of citizens with a serious case of the munchies right now," stated Parris. "An increase in snack food sales would be an excellent side effect."

When asked why he even felt a need to even be polling the citizens of Lancaster on this matter, Parris stated, "you're really bringing me down, dude. This is like, you know, a really hot issue that needs to be dealt with in a well thought-out matter. Like wow, I can't believe I just said that."

Parris plans to call a press conference tomorrow at 4:20 p.m. to announce plans to search for someone, anyone who will be willing to bring a dispensary to town. The City of Lancaster Parks, Recreation, and Arts Department is looking for local reggae bands to play at the grand opening of the first marijuana dispensary. He also plans to bring the L.A. Sparks up to the Valley to support the effort. Cheech and Chong will be at the ribbon cutting.

Hot off the Press!!

*Banking Official: Rex Parris Has More Money Than God*

Despite the doubts of many individuals in the banking industry, it is now official. R. Rex Parris has more money than God. "I never would have believed it, especially considering how long God has been in business, but the numbers just don't lie," stated Hal Finch of the World Monetary Fund. "If Mr. Parris hadn't lent so much money to his mayoral campaign, he probably would have passed God up on the all-time money list sooner," Mr. Finch added.

After spending countless hours running the numbers, it was determined that God has $10,930,202,202,002.37. While quite impressive, Mr. Parris has $11,339,202,220,995.08. "This is absolutely astounding!" exclaimed Mr. Parris. "I never set out to have more money than God. Frank Visco maybe, but never God. For the first time in years, I'm speechless!"

When asked for comment, the Lord was silent. "It doesn't surprise me that God is rather quiet on this issue," said Mr. Finch. "The Almighty has pretty much limited Himself to written statements over the last couple of thousand years. In fact, He hasn't had too much public commentary since about 96 A.D. Somehow, I don't think He's overly concerned about this, however. I wouldn’t count Him out. God has proven that He has amazing staying power." added Finch.

When asked about what kind of impact this has on Lancaster, Mr. Parris was philosophical. "I intend to lead Lancaster with truth and righteousness. God is an excellent role model, but the numbers show that He's fallen a little behind lately. It's a good thing I came along when I did." When asked if he thought he was bigger than Jesus Christ, Parris was quite vehement. "I wouldn't go THAT far. I'm probably bigger than the Beatles, but Jesus? Never. I do, however, think that my election proves what God could do if He only had the money."
