Monday, August 20 2007National Weather Service Warnings
A couple of warnings have been issued by the National Weather Service, one for a mini-heat wave this week.
Officials say triple digit temperatures are expected today with the peak occurring on Tuesday at around 103 degrees or hotter.
Authorities say take precautions to protect yourself from the hotter weather and try to reduce outdoor activity.
An Air Quality Alert is also in effect for cities in and around our county due to the Zaca Fire, burning since July 4th in Santa Barbara County. You could see the thick smoke layer yesterday to the north of the Antelope Valley.
Residents are also encouraged to replace your air conditioning filter with a new one.
