Sure, now pull the other finger! 1 in 5 people that have applied for loan modification with this program have actually got this to work. The banks are not interested in loaning you your tax dollars back. If the number of empty homes and speculators in the AV are any indication, we have another shining example of our government in action.

Another short hitting scheme from the short hitters and their chiefs, our government.

Throw the lying bums out…and their little dogs too!

I know a realitor who lost his home last year, the market is so bad. But it was the loans forced upon the banks so that those thatcan’t get a house is the reason it tanked like it did.

Deregulation & fraud killed the housing industry with bogus loans ignored by the sitting gov’t. Bad paper sold under the guise of real. Saavy RE Agents knew this, knew the bubble was going to burst and have left the area after selling their homes for top prices. The rest of us saps are still here.

Roxi you can thank Reagan for that and the Clinton administration. And with section 8 moving into even good neighborhoods it devalues property. You can thank the city councils for the overpopulation here moving from LA to here. I mean I see thousands of gang bangers in the LA. Its worst cause I see the worst part since I live in palmdale and know the area. A smoke shop owner told me the EBT food stamp cards are used in ATMs to get money and they buy lotto tickets and cigarettes with what is meant to get food with. And we the taxpayer foots the bill for these parasites.

Geesh. There’s no refuge, is there? Seems the state needs to know about this – and get rid of the atm cards.
Great talking to you – I have to go.

Point of correction. You can not get cash via an ATM (or any other device) for Food Stamps. Period. That is why the system went to the EBT format: to prevent just such abuses that had been known to occur with the original stamp format. For somebody to be pulling cash out of an ATM (or other such device) with an EBT card requires that they be on Cash Aid, which is an entirely different program.

I am not agreeing with those who do such acts, by the way, just correcting a misconception on these two programs.

CJ your wrong and I hate saying so. My friend who owns a cigarette store is the one who told me about this abuse of the system. In fact he wanted me to contact the governor’s office about. I also thought there were safeguards preventing this kind of problem.

If your getting any kind of welfare whether it is General Relief or Aid To families you get cash aid plus food stamps. Fraud is fraud, crime is crime, the sad thing is we all pay higher taxes to supply these parasites with aid.

General Relief, AFDC (Aid to Families of Dependant Chilren), Cal-Works, and Cash Aid are all cash based programs (indeed, they are one and the same). Food Stamps is a federal program that does not have a cash component. It is possible (and frequent) that families may be on both, but they remain seperate programs.

If your friend believes that there is fraud going on, by all means he should report it. Would you like the number to give to him?
