Crime Stoppers in Lancaster Works
Lancaster Sheriff serves Search Warrant, recovers over 300 Marijuana Plants
Lancaster — Lancaster Deputies and Sheriff TOP team members, served a search warrant Tuesday morning on a Lancaster home in the 600 block of east Avenue J-5. According to Lancaster Sheriff Station Spokesperson Deputy Michael Montesteoca, Deputies had received a tip on the cities “Crime Stoppers” that the occupants of the home were possibly growing a large amount of Marijuana in the home.
Deputy Montesteoca stated that early Tuesday morning, deputies served a search warrant on the home in the 600 block of east Avenue J-5. Deputy Montesteoca stated that upon serving the search warrant one subject was arrested in the front doorway of the home while two additional subjects ran out the back door. The two subjects that ran out of the back door were “quickly apprehended” and taken to the Lancaster Station for booking said Deputy Montesteoca.
Deputy Montesteoca said that over 300 Marijuana plants were found in various stages of growth in the 3 bedroom home. “Two of the bedrooms had been turned into a Marijuana farm” said Deputy Montesteoca. The home was equipped with ventilation and grow lights as was evident when deputies seized the home.
No weapons or cash was located in the home.
This is the second such tip on “Crime Stoppers” that has led to a major arrest and drug confiscation in the city of Lancaster.
The more we all know abour programs like this in the City of Lancaster in conjunction with our Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office, the more people off the streets.
Crime Stoppers works.

It’s because as part of the Walmart deal TRex, Visco and Gilley probably got Platinum gift cards from WM and so they don’t have to steal….

RS – what would they do with Platinum gift cards from Walmart? They like top shelf stuff — rubies, diamonds and pearls.
Now I do know that one of the Titans shops at Costco. Maybe a platinum card from there would satisfy his insatiable appetite for “things”.

I believe that the criminalization of a highly beneficial plant such as cannabis to be symptomatic of a highly disordered society.

When they found those plants, did they remember to get all the seeds? God forbid any seeds were left behind, and great job getting those plants. Smoking that stuff can be dangerous.
Now back to my drinking and driving.

Please, please, please do not believe the following propoganda.
We must deploy every last law enforcement resource available, whatever the cost, to fight this battle against pot. Our children’s future depends on it.
Great bust by crime stoppers! Way to go! The streets are much safer now!

Marijuana can lead to harder drugs….like alcohol.

Talking with a friend today about Pot. She is a counselor and used to support legalization. Now, I did not prompt her, yet she has so totally turned against pot use. Her belief now is that it is the gateway to the slippery slope of harder drug use. She was unaware of my stand until today. Hence, I support Lancaster’s and Steve Colley’s stance on Pot Shops.

I wish that they would just make it legal so that we could get all the taxes off of it. I don’t believe that it leads to harder drugs. It would almost be like saying that beer leads to harder stuff. Bull.

CAS, your friend is absolutely 100% correct! Pot is a gateway. The dirty little secret is that over 90% of potheads probably shoot smack too. I doubt there are very many drug users that smoke pot only. Where there is smoke there is fire.
Marino, your comment is not funny and not appreciated. If alcohol were dangerous, it would be illegal. Please post only serious comments Marino, pot is a serious subject. Think of the children who may be reading this blog.
Steve Cooley is my hero. His investigation revealed the majority of potheads with medical cards were productive healthy young men.
What would a similar investigation into liquor store customers reveal? Not healthy young men, I bet! The healthy young men buying pot with a medical card for recreational use need to learn to drink alcohol like the rest of us.

actually, if you want to generate tax dollars from everyone (illegals, prostitutes, drug dealers, etc), wouldn’t it be wise to do away with the income tax system that we currently have in place and replace it with the “fair tax plan”?
