Marxists/Socialists/Communists for Obama
(This taken from Barack Obama’s official campaign web site)
This group is for self-proclaimed Marxists/Communists/Socialists for the election of Barack Obama to the Presidency. By no means is he a true Marxist, but under Karl Marx’s writings we are to support the party with the best interests of the mobilization of the proletariat. Though the Democratic Socialists of America or the Communist Party of America may have more Socialistic values, it is pointless to vote for these candidates due to the fact that there is virtually no chance they will be elected to a National level. The members of this group are not Leninists, Stalinists, etc. and do not support or condone the actions of N. Korea, China, Cuba or any other self-proclaimed “Marxist States.” They do not in anyway represent the Marxist philosophy nor do they represent Socialism/Communism. We support Barack Obama because he knows what is best for the people!

Great post!
Hussein Obama has become, for me, the scariest proposition for The President of the United States in my lifetime..
I am left to assume the American Public is not as stupid as the polls show and that the McCain flood will overwhelm this phony in November

“By no means is he [Barack Obama] a true Marxist.”
At risk of responding to yet another mindless cut-and-paste, there is but one thing and one thing only that determines whether or not one is a Marxist: whether or not one stands in support of the social ownership and democratic control of the means of industrial/economic production. Should one advocate such a system as that, then one is a Marxist. If, on the other hand, one does not advocate such a system, then one is not a Marxist. For his part, Barack Obama most definitely does not advocate the social ownership and democratic administration of this society’s means of industrial/economic production, which is clearly demonstrated by the millions upon millions of dollars his presidential campaign has garnered from the American capitalist class. Ergo, Barack Obama is not a Marxist of any variety.
marino: “…he [Barack Obama] is a democratic ‘socialist.’”
In other words, Barack Obama is nothing more than another socially useless liberal politician.

Obama is going to cater to big business and illegal aliens. Vote for anyone but Obama cause I don’t him to be my mama and tell me I am bitter. Just because I was victimized over and over and lost thousands of dollars and jobs so that an employer could save a buck.

Obama does have some marxist ghosts in his closet (see Accuracy in Media reports). His wife is on record as saying some fairly nasty anti-American things. BO now plays it safe, and does the usual vote pandering: when he was doing his civil rights works in Chicago back in the 90s he DID sound quite socialist (so as usual, RF oversimplifies and in error).
That’s not to say McCain, who works for the Israeli lobby, is much better. Go with DFV (Don’t F-n Vote).

In writing about his time in Punahou (Hawaii), Obama singled out a friendship with a poet he only identifies as “Frank”.
The first identification of “Frank” with Frank Marshall Davis was made by Gerald Green, a contributing editor to Political Affairs, an openly Marxist political review.
On December 5, 1956, Frank Marshall Davis appeared in ececutive session before the U.S. Senate subcommittee investigating “the scope of Soviet activity in the U.S.” It was one of the McCarthy-era committees seeking to expose communists considered to be a security threat.
Invoking his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination, Davis refused to answer a direct queastion if he was then a communist. A year earlier, in 1955, the Commission on Subversive Activities organized by the government of the territory of Hawaii identified Davis as a member of the Communist Party USA. —-The Obama Nation. Jerome Corsi.
Spin, I too once though I’d DFV, but the more I learn about Barry (his preferred name before switching back to Barack), the more I want to vote for McCain.
Obama has been influenced by Marx and communism by his aquantances and studies.

marino: “Obama has been influenced by Marx and communism by his acquaintances and studies.”
So, marino, if someone were to produce a photograph of you and I conversing with one another during Jeanne’s and Ray’s “blogger party,” would it be accurate to assume from our being acquainted with one another that you too have been influenced by Marx and communism?
Again, the suggestion that Barack Obama is a Marxist or that he has been “influenced by Marx and communism” is nothing short of ludicrous, and evoking the memory of the ludicrousness that was McCarthy-era politics goes a long way toward proving that point.

Focus Tries to Hide Its “Pray for Rain” Video
On July 31, (James Dobson’s) ’Focus on the Family’ posted a video featuring Stuart Shepard asking supporters to beseech God with prayers so that Barack Obama’s Democratic Convention speech at Mile High Stadium in Denver would be washed out with “rains of biblical proportion.”
But don’t bother clicking the link to watch the video, because Focus has now removed it, as the Colorado Springs Gazette reports:
“Focus on the Family Action pulled a video from its Web site today that asked people to pray for “rain of biblical proportions” during Barack Obama’s Aug. 28 appearance at Invesco Field in Denver to accept the Democratic nomination for president."
Stuart Shepard, director of digital media at Focus Action, the political arm of Focus on the Family, said the video he wrote and starred in was meant to be “mildly humorous.”
But complaints from about a dozen Focus members convinced the organization to pull the video, said Tom Minnery, Focus Action vice president of public policy.
“If people took it seriously, we regret it,” Minnery said Monday.
“Pray for Rain” was posted July 30 and blazed its way through the Internet, scoring 20,000 page views, Shepard said.
It was one of Shepard’s weekly video commentaries that appear on www.citizenlink.org, Focus Action’s Web site. The general timbre of Shepard’s videos is tongue-in-cheek as he examines political issues from the conservative Christian viewpoint of Focus Action.
Most of “Pray for Rain,” which lasted less than three minutes, showed a lighthearted Shepard at Invesco Field asking viewers to pray for “torrential” rain during Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention.
“I’m talking ‘umbrella-ain’t-going-to-help-you rain,’” he said on the video.
The video’s point, Shepard said, is that in his view Obama has not clearly stated his stances on abortion and gay marriage, important themes within the Christian right.
“I’m still pro life, and I’m still in favor of marriage as being between one man and one woman,” Shepard said in the video. “And I would like the next president who will select justices for the next Supreme Court to agree.”
As for his praying for a deluge: “It’s called hyperbole,” Shepard said Monday. “It is meant to be humorous.”
Minnery said the video was taken down because several Focus members complained that prayer shouldn’t be used to bring harm on someone else.
“We are not about confusing people about prayer,” Minnery said.
Focus has gone all out; disabling the video and removing it from their archives, as well as from their GodTube and YouTube pages but, unfortunately for them, that hasn’t prevented others from capturing the video and posting it themselves.
Despite Focus’s best efforts to remove their video and pretend they were only kidding, it wasn’t enough to keep Shepard from earning himself the top spot on yesterday’s Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person in the World”.

Redflag,
Never said Obama was a Marxist. Havn’t even suggested it. If you and I spend a few hours talking about Marx, then would I not have some influence over that subject?
But a few hours is not the same as having spent weeks, months, or years, then being in position to be president of the U.S.
I really don’t have an issue with his studies of Marx, communism, Islam. It’s his avoidance of having devled into said topics that is my concern. The dude dodges issues in his past that might disrupt his current goal.
Obama states in his book, that Frank Marshall Davis was his mentor and close friend.
So just because Obama hung out with, for a significant amount of time, communists, Marxists, Muslims, terrorists, and racists, doesn’t make him any of those.
“Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon. The sky was blue. The birds were singing. And the bastards were finally going to get what was comming to them.” — BILL AYERS, Fugitive Days, 2001.
“Bill Ayers lives in his neighborhood. Their kids attend the same school. They’re certainly friendly, they know each other, as anyone whose kids go to schools together.” — DAVID AXELROD, Obama campaign manager.
They never went to the same schools. Their kids are nowhere near the same age.

If Obama was a superhero, he would be Robin Hood. Steal from the rich and give to the poor. Obama is a socialist. His views and his target for the country is going to penalize hard working Americans and reward the poor. Current welfare institutions are the worst run and worst managed in the country. There is no accountability from any of these ogranizations. The abuses are many, and Obama wants to increase the amount of aid we give to citizens who do not contribute to the success of this country.
What really bothers me is who supports Obama and his Mama. As Marino pointed out, his relationship with Bill Ayers, and the other cast of America Haters, shows where his true views are.

I agree, Coob. But the implication seems to be that if you object to BO, you join up with Dobson sorts of wingnuts, or GOP Limbaugh lovers. Not the case. (It might be recalled that quite a few moderates, and even conservatives protested the Vietnam war. Protesting ‘Nam doesn’t mean supporting Weather underground, except to the nutcase right).

Ray Cunneff says...
I’ve already expressed my misgivings about Barack Obama’s candicacy on this site. But I wasn’t familiar with Bill Ayers so I did a little research. Here’s an excerpt from Michael Dobbs’ Fact Checker, written February 16, 2008:
“There has been a sudden spate of blog items and newspaper articles, mainly in the British press, linking Barack Obama to a former member of the radical Weather Underground Organization that claimed responsibility for a dozen bombings between 1970 and 1974. The former Weatherman, William Ayers, now holds the position of distinguished professor of education at the University of Illinois-Chicago.
Although never convicted of any crime, he told the New York Times in September 2001, “I don’t regret setting bombs…I feel we didn’t do enough.”
Both Obama and Ayers were members of the board of an anti-poverty group, the Woods Fund of Chicago, between 1999 and 2002. In addition, Ayers contributed $200 to Obama’s re-election fund to the Illinois State Senate in April 2001, as reported here. They lived within a few blocks of each other in the trendy Hyde Park section of Chicago, and moved in the same liberal-progressive circles.
Is there anything here that raises questions about Obama’s judgment or is this just another example of guilt by association?
The Facts:
The first article in the mainstream press linking Obama to Ayers appeared in the London Daily Mail on February 2. It was written by Peter Hitchens, the right-wing brother of the left-wing firebrand turned Iraq war supporter, Christopher Hitchens. Hitchens cited the Ayers connection to bolster his argument that Obama is “far more radical than he would like us to know.”
The Hitchens piece was followed by a Bloomberg article last week pointing to the Ayers connection as support for Hillary Clinton’s contention that Obama might not be able to withstand the “Republican attack machine.”
Larry Johnson, a former counterterrorism official at the CIA and the State Department, predicted that the Republicans would seize on the Ayers case, and other Chicago relationships, to “bludgeon Obama’s presidential aspirations into the dust.”
The London Sunday Times joined the chorus this weekend by reporting that Republicans were “out to crush Barack by painting him as a leftwinger with dubious support”.
The only hard facts that have come out so far are the $200 contribution by Ayers to the Obama re-election fund, and their joint membership of the eight-person Woods Fund Board. Ayers did not respond to e-mails and telephone calls requesting clarification of the relationship. Obama spokesman Bill Burton noted in a statement that Ayers was a professor of education at the University of Illinois and a former aide to Mayor Richard M. Daley, and continued:
“Senator Obama strongly condemns the violent actions of the Weathermen group, as he does all acts of violence. But he was an eight-year-old child when Ayers and the Weathermen were active, and any attempt to connect Obama with events of almost forty years ago is ridiculous.”
Whatever his past, Ayers is now a respected member of the Chicago intelligentsia, and still a member of the Woods Fund Board. The president of the Woods Fund, Deborah Harrington, said he had been selected for the board because of his solid academic credentials and “passion for social justice.”
“This whole connection is a stretch,” Harrington told me. “Barack was very well known in Chicago, and a highly respected legislator. It would be difficult to find people round here who never volunteered or contributed money to one of his campaigns.”
The Pinocchio Test:
The question is not whether a connection can be established between Barack Obama and a former member of the Weathermen, but whether it has any significance for the 2008 presidential campaign."

Not everyone. Just many. :-)
“In 1995, Bill Ayers co-founded the Chicago Annenburg Challenge with a $50 million grant program for the Chicago public schools. Ayers selected Obama to be the first chairman of the board of the Challenge, a position Obama held for eight years, until 2003, a period during which Ayers remained active with the Challenge.” (Johnson, “Why Is Obama Hiding The Truth?”)
Only 8 years with Ayers, unlike the 20 with Wright learning the theology of Cone. :-)

The fact that Obama is willing to offer Marxists, Communists, and Socialists, free public space on his official campaign web site demonstates just how stupid he thinks his supporters really are. He is clearly not in the least bit worried about his American voters figuring out that he is a democratic socialist.
Obama supporters look at his 20 year membership in the most anti-American racist church in America and believe that he never noticed that it was an anti-white, anti-American church.
