Why no spin brings out the worst in us all
he doesn’t “KNOW” why ray attacks him.
he doesn’t “KNOW” why his calls for civility go unanswered.
He doesn’t “KNOW” why we all can’t get along.
when i 1st started here, i always tried to get my points across without attacking anyone. yet anything donno didn’t agree with, he went after like it was a personal affront. if one said something he didn’t like, it was “sewage”, “spewing”, “garbage”, “clown”, “filth”, “vile”, “sludge”, “crap”, “rabid ones”,
“FRINGE LEFTIST”, “KEEP FROTHING!”, “bigot”. no matter what was said, one could count on wayne to go through the roof with over the top outrage and horror! ALL DELIVERED WITH ARROGANCE AND DISDAIN!
at one point i mentioned something bad happening to people, but told no spin i WOULDN’T wish it on him. he then attacked me for wishing him harm.
he seldom would bother to read a post, just catching enough to be outraged over things never said.
his attacks on blogav were never ending. if something was said about rex, he asked for proof. now that we have 7 lawsuits against our town, he still thinks there’s no proof.
he was so sure he was censored he started a blog about his persecution, but has no problems censoring here or having people kicked of site here.
if people like toyboy accuse people of wrong doing, he’s quite, (and since no cops have knocked on my door, we now know toyboy was again, making up shit about me doing ANYTHING against him outside of this blog)(another victim),
he complains if a lib cut n paste, even though the majority of such are done at his request, giving him the facts he SAYS he wants, but then conveniently ignores as not being good enough because the answer isn’t coached in the posters own words.
IF A LIB ATTACKS, IT’S A SIN AGAINST THE GODS. if someone on the right attacks, it’s no problem.
so now, he wants civility, and can’t understand why people don’t line up behind him?
after going back years, deleting all incriminating blogs and post of his.
really donno? you think if we can’t read them anymore, we’ll forget they happened?
this is why we don’t believe your call for civility. even the blog that u asked me to start a “new day of civility” was only AFTER u got a couple of snide remarks in.
ray isn’t attacking local theater. he’s attacking the years of snide, nasty, over the top remarks THAT U INDULGE IN!
fool us once, shame on you…..twice….well, u know how this ends!
so delete away donno, doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten.
lancaster says...
and who made u take down the threats to shoot me? ur master? tb can’t stand by what he says either, having to delete his verbal threats under the color of authority.

lancaster says...
donno, seems to be some unproven accusations against one of the nations military personal, someone who is still serving our country honorably. johnathon ervin. where NO PROOF was EVER offered.
we await ur outrage!

the fact that he has gone back and deleted all his nasty past post kinda says it all. and makes me believe that denise might be right in her suspicions that he did it himself. accidentally or on purpose, he would appear to be trying to re-write his history.

“we await ur outrage!”
Typical DeciptiCon, accuses without merit or fact, deletes without care and relies on others to forget what they ate for breakfast the day before, and believe it was the ‘other guy’ who caused any problems.
Maybe the political icons should be reversed? Libruls never forget, and the Cons are acting like Jacka**es!

Sounds of Silence
©Simon & Garfunkel
Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
’Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
“Fools”, said I, “You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed
In the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, “The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls”
And whispered in the sounds of silence

Not to dampen a somber mood, but here is my song, lol.
Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I’d go beserk
Well you left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I’ve gone
Completely out of my mind
And they’re coming to take me away ha-haaa
They’re coming to take me away ho ho hee hee ha haaa
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I’ll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they’re coming to take me away ha haaa
You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right? You know you laughed
I heard you laugh. You laughed
You laughed and laughed and then you left
But now you know I’m utterly mad
And they’re coming to take me away ha haaa
They’re coming to take me away ho ho hee hee ha haaa
To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they’re coming to take me away ha haaa
I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind unselfish, loving deeds
Ha! Well you just wait
They’ll find you yet and when they do
They’ll put you in the A.S.P.C.A.
You mangy mutt
And they’re coming to take me away ha haaa
They’re coming to take me away ha haaa ho ho hee hee
To the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time
And I’ll be happy to see those nice young men
In their clean white coats
And they’re coming to take me away
To the happy home with trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they’re coming to take me away ha haaa!

used to make the younger kids call in to try and get songs played, sitting by the radio with one’s finger on the record button of a crappy cassette player, so one could get the song for free.
sound quality was never an issue. if it was recognizable it was good enough.

I don’t know about NS, but I push your buttons because I can. You allow me that power over you. I find it entertaining that someone that preaches moderation, tolerance of other’s points of view, acceptance, ect to be called child-like school-yard names as if this was the 3rd grade is priceless.
To be judged by the accepting crowed as evil or hateful is truly the personification of an imposition of morality. A morality that can not be objective because anytime a feeling or button is pushed by me the Dr. Hyde comes out and we see the true nature of leftist ideology.
It is an ideology of contradiction. An ideology of saying one thing and doing the total opposite. For instance the left wants children to be educated but they have and accept mediocre results and blame me and others like me for their failures. I’m vilified for wanting kids to have the best and when I point out the left’s abysmal record in getting results I am told it isn’t results we are after but our intentions are what must be judged.
Yet my intentions are always judged and judged from a movable guide post as some how not as quality as the left’s intentions. But it isn’t my intention I want to be judge by but my pragmatism.
I hope taunts will follow this so we will be witness to the “worst” in our liberal friends. Glad I can bring out the “worst” in my liberal fellow bloggers, it is my intention to do that. I’m happy to be so good at it.

Randy:“It is an ideology of contradiction. An ideology of saying one thing and doing the total opposite.”
It sounds like you have described the Religious Right, to me.
Yeah Randy, it has it’s pitfalls, but so does conservatism! The difference between liberalism and conservatism, however, is that liberals are pioneers who want to move forward and come as close to that fabled ‘shining city on a hill’ as possible. Conservatives are – first and foremost – reactionary and resistant to change, resistant to new ideas, resistant to science, resistant to something beyond established dogma. Yes, some liberals are guilty of some of these things also, but nowhere near on par with conservatives.

MK, when we are faced with facts that show some intention didn’t work why not go back? We know Social Security is a failure. We know excessive taxation is a hindrance to economic growth.
I’ve got a new idea, let’s campaign on hope and change and instead of giving hope say the new normal is poverty and dependence on big government. Combat is over the troops are coming home but surprise not yet. Saying GW spent us in a hole but accelerate spending. Hating war but beat war drums in an increasingly hostile world.
MK, I understand you wanting to try something new but there is nothing new under the sun. It’s all been done and has failed before. Perhaps we need to go back to what worked.

Should be no problem having them model their best. Their “worst” is easy to see, I’m asking for your best.

You say “citing precedent” I say innuendo. It is a pretty dark view of your political opposite. Never looking for something good in someone always has you finding the worst in them.
DBW started this thread in saying we bring out the worst in people. Makes you totally understand why Hitler, Stalin, Mao, ect killed those they hated; because it brought out the worst in them.
The world will be perfect when those like me are gone. The world will be perfect when capitalism is destroyed. Seems a theme doesn’t it?
No wonder DBW, and the professional left hate those that dissent, it makes them see their evil side, a side of them that thinks nothing of spouting their hated of their fellow man.

More from the good Rabbi:
“…In December 2009, the New York Times—a liberal leader of opinion—and Laura Ingraham—a conservative leader of opinion— carried articles and interviews about plans of American Muslims to establish Cordoba House, a community cultural center in Lower Manhattan. There was no fuss, no fury.
Not till May 2010 did the ultra-right-wing anti-Islam blogger Pamela Geller and organs of Rupert Murdoch, the right-wing publisher who later gave $1 million to the Republican Governors Association, begin to carry inflammatory stories about what they call the “Ground Zero Mega-Mosque.”
And then, step-by-step, the crystal they sowed precipitated the super-saturated solution into a noxious brew. Right-wing blogs and talk-radio programs described the Cordova House as an insult to the dead of 9/11, a triumphal celebration by Islam of its victory in the attacks on the World Trade Center’s, anything to arouse fear and hatred of Islam.
Even Jewish organizations that claimed their mission was to prevent “defamation” not only of Jews but of all religious and ethnic groups, or claimed their mission was to promote “tolerance,” spoke out against the planning for Cordova House. “Yes,” they said, “Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan have every constitutional right to place their mosque or cultural center two long long New York City blocks from Ground Zero, but it is not ethically right or spiritually wise to do so. It would offend the sensibilities of the survivors of the 9/11 dead.”
These assertions ignored both an important fact and a crucial principle. The fact was that hundreds of 9/11 survivors, in the organization called September 11 Families for Peaceful Tomorrows, had endorsed the placement of Córdoba House. The principle was that the constitutional right of freedom of religion has no reality if a wave of hostility from “private” citizens, sparked by great media empires and backed up by public officials, can prevent the fully legal placement of a house of worship.
Why then did the right wing media and right-wing politicians like Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich decide to light this conflagration?
The spark would not have lit a fire if that there had not been gallons of gasoline beneath the surface, but why light the spark?
I think the answer is that the right wing was and still is hoping to split the vote of progressive Americans by using not just Cordoba House but also broader fear of Islam as a wedge issue, just as they used the issue of gay marriage—which now has little bite. They have used the fear of Hispanic immigrants in the same way.
Fanning fear and hatred of Islam has one major advantage over firing up fear of gay people or of Hispanics: it may offer the possibility of splitting the Jewish vote, which is, next to the vote of African-Americans, the most progressive voting bloc in the country.
Indeed, many Jews, outraged by attacks on Israel that are sponsored by two Muslim organizations—Hezbollah and Hamas—and by Holocaust denials from some leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran, may be susceptible to an Islamophobic campaign. At the same time, of all American communities, Jews are perhaps the most likely to smell and taste the danger of bigotry against a religious minority.
So the American Jewish community is one of the crucial arenas of struggle over whether burning the Quran becomes a step on the path that Heinrich Heine prophesied toward burning people.
Out of this witches’ brew of dark past and explosive present, there emerged not only bigotry but another wave of interfaith engagement. Those of many religious and ethical communities gathered to condemn the burning of the Quran and to affirm all sacred texts, all sacred gathering places.
The path America will take is still uncertain…."

""No, you will not"
I, for one, will continue to hammer home the point that, for conservatives, clarity is critical. So let’s be very clear. The “party of no” is meant, and should be clearly understood, as the party of “no, you will not.” Yes, Republicans will come out boldly to answer to the charge that they should stand for, and not just against, something. But clarity again: conservatives are standing for something simply using the word “no.”
No, you will not nationalize health care or manufacturing.
No, you will not mortgage our children’s and grandchildren’s futures for any reason, let alone paying off your supporters.
No, you will not place limits on media that serve only to silence criticism against you.
No, you will not engage in a foreign policy that apologizes for our actions or undermines our allies.
No, you will not use the Department of Justice as a political weapon.
No, you will not view our Constitution as amendable at will by a handpicked judiciary without our consent.
No, you will not cripple our industries with federal regulations designed to promote the wishful desires of the left.
No, you will not play politics with our security to attempt to appeal to groups that will be beneficial to your electoral desires.
Most importantly at the top of a growing list is the direct statement of what the “party of no” truly means.
No, you will not transform our great nation into a lesser one."

WSJ.
“Assuming that the Florida pastor complies with applicable fire codes, he has a perfect legal right to burn Korans that are his private property. That he has a right to do it, however, does not mean it is the right thing to do. In our view, he should call off the event for the same reason that the mosque developers should choose a site a respectful distance from Ground Zero: because the plan is obnoxious and (figuratively as well as literally) inflammatory.
The Koran-burning stunt is attracting attention across the world, the Associated Press reports from Kabul:
Hundreds of Afghans shouted anti-American slogans and called for President Obama’s death at a rally yesterday to denounce an American church’s plans to burn the Islamic holy book to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.
The crowd in Kabul, numbering as many as 500, chanted "long live Islam’’ and "death to America.‘’
There is a grain of truth in the protesters’ blaming Obama, whose limp leadership has had an incendiary effect. He escalated the Ground Zero mosque controversy by making a strong but unnecessary statement about religious freedom, but then abdicated his responsibility by voting “present” on the real question: whether it is wise and responsible to use freedom in this way.
CNN.com reports that Gen. David Petraeus has issued a statement that the Koran burning “could endanger troops and it could endanger the overall effort in Afghanistan.” But the commander in chief hasn’t said a word about it, and how could he? If the president of the United States is indifferent or hostile to his own countrymen’s sensitivities, his exhortations to respect the sensitivities of foreigners—although in this case they would be entirely justified—are sure to fall on deaf ears.
America needs a president with the moral authority to denounce the Florida church’s stupid, offensive, potentially dangerous stunt. This is a job for George W. Bush."

Randy..You called it right and got DBW, aka lanslither, rockhead and kelter to come “out” and whine about everything, as per usual.
They are following “their” prresident?, (not mine) in the WHINEY dept. as shown yesterday by the NARRACIST IN CHIEF had another breakdown with the doggy comment and “blame anybody but me” mentality. It does show why oopsbummer has followers like kelter, DBW, aka lanslither, rockhead, sky, etal.. All of the above mentioned are failures in life and even one with a junior college background cannot get a substantial job.
Most likely he gets by with government handouts and the others subsist on EBT, section 8, foodstamps and I am sure I am missing other government programs they scam. For THIS is the oopsbummer voter…ignorant, racist, delusional and wanting the government to take care of them, because after all that is how ma did it, granny did it and granny before her.
Can ya just imagine these people waiting for the 1st of each month for the government check, which will be blown by the 4th of the month?

Glenn Beck from The Blaze:
Thoughts From Glenn on Church Plan to Burn Koran
Posted on September 6, 2010 at 9:35pm
I’m on vacation and trying to unplug but the news can make that hard. I just read the story about the Florida church planning to burn copies of the Koran.
What is wrong with us? It’s just like the Ground Zero mosque plan. Does this church have the right? Yes. Should they? No. And not because of the potential backlash or violence. Simply because it is wrong. The more I reflect on what happened on 8/28 the more I realize the amazing power of GOOD.
We must be the better person. We must be bigger than our problems. Bigger than the times in which we live. Burning the Koran is like burning the flag or the Bible. You can do it, but whose heart will you change by doing it? You will only harden the hearts of those who could be moved. None of those who are thinking about killing us will be affected, but our good Muslim friends and neighbors will be saddened. It makes the battle that they face inside their own communities even harder.
Let us rise above the current levels and elevate ourselves and our country. The only thing this act would prove is that you CAN burn a Koran. I didn’t know America was in doubt on that fact. Let’s prove to each other that while there are many things we can do, there are maybe many more things that we choose not to do.

Rabid Dog Briefly Mistaken for Tea Party Candidate
Receives Standing Ovation at Missouri Rally
JEFFERSON CITY, MO (The Borowitz Report) – A rabid Doberman Pinscher jumped on stage at a Tea Party rally in Missouri on Labor Day and barked at the crowd for nearly twenty minutes before people realized he was not a candidate.
The dog, later identified by its owner as “Mister Buster,” held the crowd spellbound as he barked, growled, and frothed at the mouth, eventually receiving a standing ovation for his exertions.
Gwendolene Thomason, 42, a Tea Party supporter from Jefferson City, was one of the hundreds on hand who were convinced that the Doberman was a Tea Party candidate until he was outed as a dog.
“I liked what he had to say,” she said. “He reminded me of Glenn Beck, only furrier.”
The Doberman’s canine identity finally became clear when he lunged at a man in the front row and wrested a hamburger from his right hand, taking two of the man’s fingers with it.
While the discovery that Mister Buster was not a Tea Party candidate disappointed many in attendance, Ms. Thomason held out hope that, dog or no, he might consider running for office at some point.
“I liked the way he bit off that guy’s hand, and the way he did his business in the middle of the stage,” she said. “We need more of that in Washington.”
Elsewhere, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer named Wednesday a state holiday “to give me more time to think of what to say.”

Construction Complete On 9/11 Truther Memorial
September 7, 2010 | ISSUE 46•36
UNDISCLOSED—On a remote patch of Kansas prairie believed to fall outside the range of U.N. spy satellites, construction is finally complete on the long- awaited 9/11 Truther Memorial, sources confirmed Wednesday.
Solemn visitors reflect on what the memorial’s designers call “the greatest lie in American history.”
Funded by donations from dozens of websites and fringe publishers, and dedicated to “the fearless amateur research and bold guesswork” of those seeking to “expose the secret machinations of the world’s true puppet masters,” the 7,000-square-foot monument has already attracted hundreds of visitors.
“It was a long time coming, but at last it’s here,” said Don Gustaf, a blogger who drove from Cincinnati to see the site. “This will stand forever in tribute to those who lost their lives the day clandestine CIA operatives used advanced wireless technology to electronically hijack a pair of 767s and remotely fly them into the World Trade Center.”
Created by a design team who chose to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals from the Bilderberg Group, the memorial has as its centerpiece the “Truth Towers,” a 60-foot-tall replica of the World Trade Center that houses a museum devoted to unanswered questions surrounding the attacks. Below it lies a pentagonal reflecting pool from which emerge 18 steps leading to the base of the monument, with each stair intended to symbolize one of the 18 Great Lies of the 9/11 conspiracy.
“This is a place where Americans can come to reflect on the most elaborate hoax in our nation’s history,” said Carol Bowerman, 53, wiping away tears as she walked passed a 15-foot granite cylinder representing the cruise missile used to fake a plane crash at the Pentagon. “On this hallowed ground, those of us who refuse to accept the official version of events can mourn the day the United States was taken over by a crypto-fascist cabal more powerful than anyone can imagine.”
….
The museum is free and open to the public, though $10 is charged for admittance to the theater screening an endless 12-second loop of the building at World Trade Center 7 collapsing, an event a modulated voice-over describes as an obvious controlled demolition.
The collection also includes an interactive exhibit demonstrating how President Bush was able to calmly finish reading a book to second-graders on 9/11 because he knew about the strikes in advance and thus the news didn’t alarm him in the slightest…."
