I just loved it on channel 9 when Rex announced that “the Majority” should be able to do what they want, to hell with the “minority”, their opinions don’t matter. I think he forgot that the whole reason for the bill of rights in the constitution was to insure that the “tyranny of the majority” was never the way our democracy was supposed to work.

Who knows though, maybe he was just afraid that while he was gone people were going to start talking about how he has spent the cities money like a drunken sailor, draining the “rainy day” fund, and now that we’re actually seeing rain, the city is up Amargosa creek without a paddle financially. That’s why all the awful potholes. The mayors pet unconstitutional eye in the sky project is more important that infrastructure development, and getting sued over a prayer amendment on the ballot (and the city will get sued if it passes) is more important than maintaining streets and… well, I can’t tell all that I know- Wait until March and we’ll see how Rex will justify what will be in the headlines then :)

I don’t get how a city can have a SECRET project and keep it from the citizens who are paying for it.

Rutan has a celebrity type presence and respected name but what does that have to do with him and buddy Mayor Rex having secrets kept from everyone else. Aren’t taxpayers paying the tab.

As far as tourism dollars coming to Lancaster, maybe we can introduce Marino to the California poppy. It’s a beautiful plant that grows every year for a few weeks. Many people come from all over the Southwestern United States. Now I know poor Marino may spend all of his time sitting at a computer, but he really should get out every now and then. The poppies should be quite beautiful this year.

Here’s the facts- The city is in a financial mess, and on top of that, lawsuits, big ones, are hitting the city at an alarming rate, with more to come. The legal bills alone are going to be astronomical.

On top of that you have the mess at Cedar Center. The mayor himself turned a building that DOES NOT BELONG TO THEM over to an “organization” that has no legal standing, they aren’t even yet a nonprofit (their status is pending), and that group’s status, even while still up in the air, has generated a ton of complaints to the attorney generals office. Ooops. Who is going to pay for that lawsuit? According to the minutes from the council meeting, its going to be the city of Lancaster.

Next come the cuts.. where oh where will be they be??

According to my source, they’re going to saturate the newspaper with all kinds of crime articles, especially on the front page if they can convince Dennis Anderson to run them there.

The goal – have Mayor Rex appear as if he’s hot on the trail on all those Jimmy Hoffa type criminals. Wow!

Also want to know if and why money is being moved from the Sheriff’s department Community Liaison Program to Eye in the Sky.

Since when does a city have such a secret deal like this and the taxpayers are paying for it?

also said it looked real white, although whites make up about 30% of the people here! not EVERYONE got a personal invite? hhmmmmm

said rex is moving christian churches into neighborhoods, into the houses the city has bought. someone asked mark about that, and mark tried to say it was last weeks news.

when it was pointed out, that if lil rex was only dealing with 4 christian churchs in hoods, the city was obviously still pushing a christian agenda!
