St Louis City residents have been warned to not be alarmed at the sight of U.S. Army tanks rolling down residential neighborhoods after sightings of the vehicles provoked fears of martial law.
The exercise is part of a U.S. Army program run by military police from Fort Meade, Maryland focused around training MPs from St. Louis how to drive heavily armored tanks “on highways and on city streets.”
Sightings of the tanks prompted hundreds of residents to flood news channel KSDK’s Facebook page, with some expressing fears that martial law had arrived with others promising to “stop and salute” the tanks as they rolled by.
Reporting that he was told by the Army not to disclose the location of where the exercise was operating out of for “security reasons,” KSDK reporter Casey Nolan downplayed the exercise as “not such a big deal.”
U.S. Army Sergeant Cornelius Ivory discouraged citizens from taking video and photographs of the tanks and urged them not to get too close.
“They need to know to stay away from it,” Ivory told KSDK.
The exercise will run from June 21-28 in St. Louis, with the presence of the tanks being most noticeable in the area of the sixth district.
As we have exhaustively documented, the increasing shift towards domestic militarization of law enforcement is part of the acclimation process to get Americans comfortable with the idea of troops and tanks on the streets as a routine occurrence.
Earlier today we reported on how scores of paramilitary troops and soldiers appearing to be from the National Guard were deployed onto the streets of Hartford, Connecticut to break-up a recent annual Puerto Rican-American cultural event.
This is just the latest of scores of examples of how the military and National Guard is increasingly being deployed domestically to target the American people.
National Guard and U.S. Army troops are routinely involved in ‘urban warfare training’ drills. Usually such drills take place within the confines of military bases, however, more recently heavily armed troops are increasingly seenpatrolling residential neighborhoods and even the downtown areas of major US cities.
Such “invasions” are often reported on as nothing to worry about and even as “cool” by the mainstream media.
Back in 2008 the Washington Post reported how 20,000 U.S. troops returning from Iraq would be stationed inside America under Northcom for purposes of “domestic security” from September 2011 onwards.
Northcom officials were forced to subsequently issue a denial after the Army Times initially reported that the troops would be used to deal “with civil unrest and crowd control.”
An article published in the May/June issue of Foreign Affairs, the mouthpiece for the influential Council on Foreign Relations, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, General Raymond T. Odierno, advocates the army be “transitioned” into a more “flexible force” by deploying in situations normally reserved for domestic law enforcement officials. He argues that by doing so, troops will be better equipped to deal with conflict elsewhere.
Domestic deployment of troops for purposes of law enforcement is a clear violation of section 1385 of the Posse Comitatus Act, which states, “Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.”

Scary stuff. It seems that this type of program (martial law) has been slowly implemented over time. I think after Katrina in New Orleans that after being abandoned for a long time, that the military was welcomed in. Janet Reno used some military in the David Keresh incident.
Over the years there have been various UN peace keeping forces stationed at national parks.
Local police department have been deploying military type vehicles and other hardware.
is America (today) really, ‘of the people, by the people, and for the people?’

It is a good thing the military is training. When new troops come on, they need training. Driving heavy equipment in urban areas is a must.

As more and more unrest in the street occurs more is the excuse for Obama to declare martial law and suspend the upcoming november elections. As I noted before numerous times that as early as 1969 that there were plans in place to transport and control the US population in case of rioting etc etc. Obama scares the living hell out of me as do the last several presidents, we have seen our constitutional rights eroded over time and yet the public tends to ignore these very real dangers to our freedom and way of life.

People like avborn will watch as they raid his neighbors over guns they didn’t turn in. They disguise their fear and cowardice as if it were some form of loyalty. In reality they see what’s happening but think if they go along and act loyal it won’t come for them. People can either resist and say no and maybe if the numbers are there, stop this and prosecute the criminals. Or they can watch it get worse and worse until it is in their own yard.

Obama is the biggest threat to OUR 2nd Amendment Rights. Obama’s Fast and Furious program could have been an attempt to create an assault weapons ban by means of negative press from purshased guns in the USA killing people in Mexico. That is why he is covering it up. He knows gun owners from all political parties will vote against him.

The US Military would not rise up against the American People unless it is against the anarchist groups who are anti American. Anarchist would be fun to shoot. Turning against military Vets, retired cops, Tea Party people, Democrats , and Reublicans, would the quickest way to have the military turn agaist our government. The president does not have the type of power like a dictator does. Any move to supress our rights would turn our politicians in both houses against the president.

What you say is true, in theory. I’m sure that military commanders would be issued false flag type orders. perhaps that the Taliban has infiltrated America and every house has to be searched and ALL guns turned in or confiscated for OUR security. It for US! That’s how they do it, AVB.
yes, ALL enlisted military personnel took an oath to defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic. Officers don’t have that clause as they ARE the domestic enemies mentioned (as it relates to a military coup d’état)

Bet you turn them in if ordered or if they showed up at your house all official looking though. Bet you watch and don’t get involved when it’s someone else.
You say they wouldn’t attack or rise up against American citizens but they have been given questionaires asking if they would fire on Americans and not all of them said no. Those get promoted. BTW don’t remember Katrina when the National Guard confiscated peoples guns who werent even in the flood zone leaving them defensless from looters. Or how about the way FEMA was caught cutting the communications wires of the sheriffs department. The sheriff drew down on the federal agents. The satanist groups direct their people to enlist and already they have gotten satanism recognized as a legitimate religion. You think these twisted individuals won’t fire on you? Your very naive

AVTC and SS while it maybe bad here in the USA its even far worse in Europe, I talked to a friend in denmark and he had to tell them his swords were for decoration only and he has a pellet rifle to defend himself against thugs, he also went on and told me that like the USA denmark is having millions of immigrants (muslim) displacing their citizens from jobs, filling schools etc like illegal immigrants are doing in america.

What the army will do is assign and move units to areas where the troops have no connection to the locals whether relatives or friends, so that if orders to shoot are given in case of martial law.Its how the military and the government thinks, by dividing americans.

Obama had already been caught with an open mike dicussing how he was going after gun ownership under the radar most people with a brain could reason out the why, when,where and how. During the last 10 years there have been several under the radar like signing international treaties and judges like Kagan who took out all of the constitutional law classes at the university where she was the big cheese at. So when you have activist judges, a corrupt worthless bunch of traitors in the house and senate, with a socialist/marxist/communist immigrant living in the White House you can see that things aren’t looking up for the american people.

What a telling statement! You feel you have the right to kill those you disagree with? They have a right to their belief and to voice it. They do not have a right to destroy others’ property. However a quick couple google searches will turn up the fact that the police have been caught numerous times dressing up like the anarchists, infiltrating their group and starting the violence themselves to create the cause to shut down their right to assemble.
Nobody needs to protect popular opinions or speech, avborn. It is the unpopular speech that our constitution was written to protect.

Words mean things. They influence others. I take the constitution very seriously and there is no room for jokes about violating it. It is violation of the constitution that has eroded this nation and I would like nothing more than to get back to it’s strict following.
I used to be able to lighten up avborn. Before I knew what I know. How can I lighten up when everywhere I go I have poisoned foods pushed on me, sheeple propagating the lies they heard on TV news the night before, police abusing their authority, and a government who is slowly implementing a police state complete with their useful idiots all over the web talking about how great each step they take towards their tyranny is.

I agree with you SS. It is hard to see the deterioration of this country and the Constitution while we the people just sat idly by watching it happen. People trust the govt. to the pint of NOT asking the tough questions and NOT demanding accountability. This is why, over the years, we have seen such abuses by J. Edgar Hoover, FDR, Nixon, Both Bush’s and Obama.
Though, I do use satire in a lot of cases to point it out. At this juncture, I now find it just to funny that we allowed this. It’s a joke. We’re a joke. We deserve whatever happens. We allowed it. The joke is on us.

These soldiers question nothing. I remember when I was enlisted there was a couple times soldiers felt they were given an unlawful order and refused. They were subsequently disciplined (Article 15) and told the next time they were to follow the order, then report it afterwards. Does that make any sense? By that time, depending on the order, one may have a lifetime of psychological issues to deal with. Once you cross the line into the “dark side”, it isn’t so easy to come back!
