Building a Muslim Community
In recent news, an imam in the South Florida city of Pocotucket was elected Mayor.
In his first State of the City presentation, he addressed a group of clergymen and women and stated that he wanted to “build a Muslim community.” He stated that he knew that this would be controversial, but since it was the will of the constituency, he was going to move forward.
His plan called for building a mosque in every neighborhood to help promote Muslim values. He also stated that police loudspeakers would drive around the City at prayer times five times a day to call the faithful to prayer.
“I really think this is a very inclusionary move on our part,” said Mayor Musil al-Talib. “We are letting people know that the Muslim religion wants to include everybody. I cannot figure out why there are some Christians in our community that have a problem with this. I think they are just trying to embarrass me politically. This has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with making a better community,” he continued.
Al-Talib says that he hopes that other communities take a stand and start establishing Muslim cities throughout the nation.
Randy Hall says...
I think some spinnerets rising up over the city with calls to prayer 5 times a day would have an interesting effect on the community. I think Christians could tolerate it; but I think it would cause the atheists to have an underwear in a knot moment.
Now a suicide bombing or two I think all would be a bit pissed even atheists.

I think minarets would be better but…anyway.
You know those pesky Muslims. Turn your back on them for a second and they start bombing.
I hope those Christian anti-abortion terrorists and Muslim suicide bombers don’t find common cause! It would be really bad!

Gawd! I almost forgot with those evil Christians killing so my abortion docs it is hard to keep up the abortion rate of 4000 pre-born kids a day!
Pretty soon an abortion doc won’t want to go anywhere and the girls will have to go to some back alley for a proper and safe abortion. If there is such a thing.

Randy
Well I’d guess that the atheists community wouldn’t get any more upset than an abortion clinic bombing, or killing an abortion doc.
Not quite sure how you’d react however.

One more question for you Randi
Are you buying the full Montie from the Pope and also oppose all forms of birth control, except Catholic ones (aspirin firmly held between the knees, don’t drop the aspirin) ?

Just thought of another one for you Randi
So what do you say to a woman who is raped, or is pregnant from incest, or her life is really and truly at risk.
Tough Shit? The Pope says so.

Yes, let’s all get worried about those evil Muslims, it’s not like Christians in the South were the sheet head Klan now were they.
It’s not like good Christians want to tell a husband that he has to keep his brain dead wife alive, despite that decision being litigated in state courts or that matters of end of life is something that government needs to stay the hell out of.

well, obama should be admonished when he said before God and everyone and announced we are no longer a Christian nation. He didn’t say what we are…. but I think I know his heart and if he said we are no longer a Christian nation than it certainly says he aint that.

“..the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..” – 1797, as ratified by the United States Senate unanimously.
But the Hyper-Christians still try to force us to believe otherwise to this very day. Jesus weeps.
So Obama is not saying anything new or inappropriate based upon the history of our nation. Only the hyper-christians of the far right wing have a real problem with this and try to spin this as some nefarious liberal thing. Sorry, hyper-christians, it just ain’t true, Obama is right this time.

Mo he isn’t right in the sense no other president would say that. He isn’t a Christian never has been and never will be. He just wanted to please his bretheran in the middle east. There are still more Christians in this nation than anything else. Not all Christia are hyper either they just love this country and don’t want to see a man-child come in as a usurper and systimatically destroy it. He is close to doing that and when he does all Americans will regret they fell under the spell of this lil boy.

“Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers. It is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest, of a Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.” (John Jay. The first Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court. 1816.)
“To support its conclusion that ‘this is a religious people…this is a Christian nation,’ the Court paraded a veritable litany of precedents from American history: taken from Church of the Holy Trinity v. U.S.; 143 U.S. 457-458 (1892).”
“There is simply no historical foundation for the proposition that the Framers intended to build the ‘wall of separation’ that was constitutionalized in Everson.” (Justice William Rehnquist. Wallace v. Jaffree (1985) at 106-107, 112. Dissenting.)

Those constitutional quotes you posted from various state constitutions only mention God and do not mention Jesus Christ, therefor, they are not declaring the states they were written in to be “Christian”. ( send private message )
lancaster says...
now calm down lil man!!!! no one said ur not the prettiest lil thing here. uv won that one.
i’m talking about the free infrastructure given to LBC under
the guises of needing it for a park & ride, that was never built. and then giving the park and ride property to LBC for a dollar.
or do u REALLY not care about taxes?
(i’m going with u not caring. if u did,
u would allready know this.)
(

Randy Hall says...
No miss I really care about taxes, I’m simply asking you to point out where my taxes are being spent. It is a windmill you woke up to this morning that you want to tilt at? Isn’t this an old issue long ago talked about? Is this the only thing that has your knickers in a knot?
Come on missy cut down on the carbs and alcohol and “old fat and ugly” thing will shrink away. Take a walk it’s good for the leg swelling and leg clots. Everyone know DVT causes memory loss and agitation.

i don’t need to see if it sticks. it stuck.
but i do wonder about ur man luv, since u still think someone is insulted when called a girl.
u do know that gay men don’t hate women, right!

of course u did. now u can throw a tantrum, trying to make it look like i’m not answering ur question, which u threw up, thinking it would keep me from looking for a answer to mine.

u can’t speak against the one u sold it to.
but u sure are pretty!

whou,
does that mean ur OK with rex giving the town of lancaster’s tax dollars to his church?
is his church ur church?

any one notice how TB can’t say the words, “i’m against rex giving my tax dollars to his church”?
must suck to be bought!
(

Randy Hall says...
For one missy, I don’t think Rex gave my money to the LBC. Two, cities all the time do development to benefit itself. Sometimes it helps churches sometimes neighborhoods but always the community itself is better off by development.
Missy that check you get did you sell yourself to get it?
(

so there it is. TB thinks it’s great that his owner gave OUR money to his church.
like i said. must suck to be bought.

LBC isn’t my church but it is one I respect a great deal. God must be working through Paul Chappel to have the success he has had. Either that or Pasture Chappel is a remarkable leader. I think both are true.

protecting ur master, stealing our money, so his pastor can buy another vacation home we will hold against u!

lancaster says...
admire the work i paid for?
that was the best we could do, with the cash. build a exclusionary school, that is such a throw back to the middle ages, it can’t even get accreditation?
speaking of setting the bar low.
but that’s OK toyboy. u did real good, covering for ur master.
to bad paul had to become successful, forcing his congregation into poverty,
(hear he does a great job shaming his flock if they don’t give till it hurts).
and getting WELFARE from the lancaster tax base.
so i guess, TB, ur now saying ur proud of someone on welfare.
and that ur master makes sure his pastor gets his welfare check.

See missy it works like this you say, “to bad paul had to become successful, forcing his congregation into poverty,” I try to clarify what you mean by “forcing.”
Who is doing the forcing? Should the ACLU investigate this violation of civil rights. Heck I hate being forced to pay for failed public programs like the public school system but I do it exactly because I’m forced.

That is the most ignorant description of how each political party feels about the poor, especially the Republican Party. I think it would be safe if PK stuck to fundraisers and not venture into the real world of economics, socio-economic realities or the track record of the changing situations and faces of poverty in America.
Sounded good PK but have you been anywhere outside of the A.V. and seen real poverty? Have you really spoken to leaders in Washington or on the state level about poverty. Republicans are ignorant for the most part of what poverty entails and all the tangential issues associated with poverty.

Hummingbirds have been finding enough food on their own since they began. Like an idiot I let my husband talk me in to getting a feeder.
Now the birds don’t even bother going to the flowers when the feeder is empty. Instead they actually fly right in front of our faces and bug us until we refill it. It’s become a situation where they think we owe it to them. People don’t seem to be much different than hummingbirds, do they?
Money does not cure poverty.
