Government organized as an interest group to lobby itself
By, George Will
“Los Angeles—to get from downtown to the residence of the man who, in 2005, became the first Hispanic elected mayor since 1870, you drive through a sliver of Korea. With 125,000 people packed into 2.7 of the city’s 469 square miles, Koreatown is typical of this polyglot city where more than 100 languages are spoken and nothing is typical except recentness: 46 percent of the residents are foreign-born….”
http://www.newsweek.com/id/237640
…“They are government organized as an interest group to lobby itself for ever-larger portions of wealth extracted by the taxing power from the private sector. Increasingly, government workers are the electoral base of the party of government….”
…"The city’s long-term success depends on its schools, in many of which most of the children come from homes without fathers, and in some of which, Villaraigosa says, 40 percent of the children are in foster homes. He has little control over the school system and, anyway, unions oppose radical reforms. He would like to emulate the education reforms of former Florida governor Jeb Bush, a recent visitor to the mayor’s residence, but, holding his fingers three inches apart to suggest the thickness of the standard contract with the teachers’ union, Villaraigosa calls the union “the most powerful defender of the status quo…”"
“…The mayor’s residence is near Wilshire Boulevard, which is named for a socialist who made and lost several fortunes before dying destitute. The life of Henry Wilshire is a cautionary tale for this city where the climate is usually Mediterranean and the fiscal climate is now Greek.”

“How can Los Angeles be in such terrible shape? They’re doing everything Obama said he’d do to lift the entire country out of our recession. They have raised taxes, hired a tremendous number of unionized government workers, given sanctuary to illegals, and pushed ‘green’ energy.” -Rush

Security is there to stop the pro-illegal supporting clowns from getting out of control, as per usual. Traitors.

RANDY HALL: Great video. I noticed the one banner carried by some of the protesters had a misspelling. The sign had immigrants written as “immagrants.” What a bunch of clods.

Roxi, say you have to pick someone to manage say 39% of your income. Who would you rather have investing that for you; Goldman, or Obama?

Also Los Angeles did exactly what Obama is doing. Raising taxes, spending like crazy, hiring more city workers, genflucting to unions, why is LA about to go the way of the dinosaur and Obama is still walking on water?

AS PREDICTED… The CROOKS in DC lied again..
The director of the Congressional Budget Office said Tuesday that the health care reform legislation would cost, over the next ten years, $115 billion more than previously thought, bringing the total cost to more than $1 trillion.
The revised figure is due to estimated costs to federal agencies to implement the new health care reform bill – such as administrative expenses for the Internal Revenue Services and the Department of Health and Human Services — and the costs for a “variety of grant and other program spending for which specified funding levels for one or more years are provided in the act.”
CBO had originally estimated that the health care reform bill would result in a net reduction in federal deficits of $143 billion from 2010-2019; this revised number would eliminate most of that savings.

Watching the City of Los Angeles go under is amazing. Another classic example of how every public entity in California has failed economically under liber leadership.
I heard a news report of a LA City Councilman talking about Arizona’s immigration law. This councilman had an Hispanic name and was talking about LA boycotting any and all business with the state of Arizona. All renewable contracts would be canceled with any companies in LA. He also said that if he went to Arizona, he could be stopped and if he had no ID, he would be deported.
What a Clod this guy is. LA is going belly up and he wants to reduce any further income the city may generate from doing business with Arizona. If he followed through with his threats, how many more Angelenos would lose their jobs. Also, his claim of being deported is a scare tactic. A background check would reveal who he is and that he is a legal US citizen. Another example of the idiots we have leading our city governments.

“It was more than twice the $40-billion deficit that Wall Street economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast and was striking since April marks the filing deadline for individual income taxes that are the main source of government revenue.
Department officials said that in prior years, there was a surplus during April in 43 out of the past 56 years.
The government has now posted 19 consecutive monthly budget deficits, the longest string of shortfalls on record.
For the first seven months of fiscal 2010, which ends September 30, the cumulative budget deficit totals $799.68 billion, down slightly from $802.3 billion in the comparable period of fiscal 2009."
“White House budget director Peter Orszag told Reuters Insider in an interview on Wednesday that the United States must tackle its deficits quickly to avoid the kind of debt crisis that hit Greece.”
Be nice to have those Ionian Islands.

That’s a good question…..neither!! Like many, we’re investing in nada right now, and with gold rising higher today, means the dollar sank-big time. KNX today: GOLD!
“Among the recent and anxious holders of Greek debt, suffering for their imprudence, have been many German banks, their own financial stability supposedly guaranteed by the loads of U.S. derivative and “securitized” toxic paper that they themselves eagerly bought in recent years, like rubes at a carnival sideshow. (Foreign readers should consult an American slang dictionary.) One must keep in mind that there would have been no Greek crisis if international traders had not deliberately set out to panic markets, drive Greek rates sky-high, and go home laden with ill-gotten gold.”

Myfoxhouston.com is reporting a physical education teacher at Jamie’s House Charter School in northwest Houston allegedly punched, kicked and slammed a 13-year-old student’s head against the wall as another student filmed the incident.
In the video you can hear other students laughing while the beating is taking place:

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new virulent
strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim. It’s
pronounced “Gonna re-elect ’em,” and it is a terrible obamanation.
The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving
putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in
2008…but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2
years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.
It’s sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just
coming on the market called Votemout. You take the first dose in 2010 and
the second dose in 2012 and simply don’t engage in such behavior again;
otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we
know it.
Several states are already on top of this, like Virginia and New Jersey ,
and apparently now Massachusetts , with many more seeing the writing on the
wall.
Please pass this important message on to all those bright folk you really
care about.
CJ, it’s a joke!

“CNSNews.com) – A bill introduced this month in Congress would put the federal and state governments in the business of tracking how fat, or skinny, American children are.”
I didn’t check this on snopes yet.
