Mira Loma Expansion Meeting
Sheriff Leroy Baca of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department
will hold a town hall meeting at the Palmdale City Council Chamber, located
at 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite B on Saturday, April 12 at 10 am to answer
questions about the Sheriff’s Department revised jail facilities plan.
This proposed plan includes the expansion of Mira Loma Detention Center in Lancaster to house male county inmates.
A second meeting will be held on Monday, April 21 at 7 pm at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, located at 750 Lancaster Blvd.

Maybe thats why Ave. K and 50th St. E have been writing tickets in mass amounts. The day before yesterday, The Sheriffs had 3 cars pulled over at one time. I cannot see how this county can afford to build anything without it coming from somewhere so it’s coming from drivers that drive along 50th St E and Ave K so watch out. Don’t help the Jail expansion get funded.

The sheriffs deputies don’t want to work in Death Valley. Whatever location is ultimately chosen will have the stamp of approval from the Sheriffs’ Union and that’s all that really matters.
