Leftist ATTACKS Muslim Cabbie..Sickening
IF MATTHEW can take one incident and fabricate the truth to attack the Tea Party, I figure doing the same with this incident be OKIE DOKIE to do..

Admitted leftist, Michael Enright, slashed the throat of Muslin Cabbie, Amir Sahrif, yesterday proving that the left hates muslims..

According to an account provided by Mr. Sharif through the New York Taxi Workers Alliance, Mr. Enright started out asking Mr. Sharif friendly questions like how long he has been in the country, if he was Muslim and if he was observing fast during Ramadan. Mr. Enright became silent for a few minutes and “then suddenly started cursing and screaming” before the stabbing, the statement says.

ANTI MUSLIM hatred, like this, from the left illustrates clearly that the left’s phony “Love all muslims” campaign is simply a campaign ploy..

How does this work for Ya All? LOL

The stabber belongs to a group supporting the mosque. The cabby is a Muslim American who has been in the USA for over 35 years. The cabby is part of a group of Muslims who are against the mosque being built.

The stabber was an embedded press reported with a military unit in either Iraq of Afghanistan. He was drunk when he stabbed the cabby.

I learned about the cabby and the stabber on 1380 am last night (thurs about 10pm) on a radio show.

Twisted truth. The mainstream would have loved it if the stabber had been a Tea Party guy and the Cabby a pro-mosque Muslim. To bad the facts did not come into play.

FYI, 7am Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally will be aired LIVE tomorrow on Facebook if you are signed up with him there. YAY!
( send private message )
08/27/10 - 06:01 PM
Ray Cunneff says...
Glenn Beck would have us believe that his Restoring Honor rally on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, on the 47th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech is just a coincidence. Does anyone really believe that? What really is the message? He also says the rally will be non-political.

From the Christian Science Monitor:

“Beck himself says that it’s only a coincidence that his mass meeting will be held on the MLK anniversary. For months he has insisted that it was originally planned for Sept. 12, the 9-12 Project is the name of a Beck-led values revival effort, after all. Then he realized that date was a Sunday this year, and he did not want to rally on Sunday. So he changed it.

Saturday, Aug. 28, was the best match for the schedule of other people involved in the rally, Beck has said.

And it is true that the coming weekend is a big one for “tea party”-related events in Washington. Many tea-party members probably would have been in town anyway, and this way they can add a Beck rally to their schedules.

FreedomWorks, a tea-party organizational group, is holding its own “Take America Back” convention on Friday evening at the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Constitution Hall. The conservative political advocacy group Americans for Prosperity, founded by billionaire David Koch, is holding a big “Defending the American Dream” summit on Friday and Saturday, as well.

Beck says that his rally is nonpolitical. Sarah Palin is speaking, but no elected GOP lawmakers are scheduled to appear. The tea-party group conventions, however, decidedly are political.

Among the FreedomWorks speakers on Friday will be outspoken conservative Rep. Michele Bachmann® of Minnesota and GOP Kentucky Senate candidate Rand Paul. The Americans for Prosperity meetings include break-out sessions on “The Ticking Tax Bomb,” “Repealing ObamaCare,” and “Free Speech vs. Media Reform.”

Doug Heye, a spokesman for Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, told the Washington Post. “But I gotta be honest with you – I don’t know about any Glenn Beck event.”

08/27/10 - 06:06 PM
Ray Cunneff says...
Also from the Christian Science Monitor:

“What will Beck say? That’s not entirely clear, but if his promotional videos are any guide, it will involve holding up heroes for our children to believe in so they can restore honor to an America that Beck believes has lost its way.

“I don’t want my child to [grow up] to be president of the United States anymore because I don’t even know what that means anymore,” says Beck at one point.

(That’s not partisan, maybe, but is it political? That depends on one’s definition of the word.)

One thing that won’t be happening at the rally is an official appearance by an elected Republican official. Party groups have been restrained in their statements about the event, given Beck’s reputation for occasionally inflammatory rhetoric. (He’s called Obama a reverse racist, for instance.)"

If Glen Beck is hosting, there is no way it will be “non-political”. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone else so far to the right that they aren’t even on the “fringe” of it anymore.

The fact that Alveda King is also speaking at the same event is not s surprise. This is a woman whose claim to fame is her uncle, and who was only a child when he was slain, but now uses his name for self promotion, and claims to know what his “vision” was. Of course, her “vision” of what MLK’s “vision” was is very different from those who actually knew MLK, worked with him, or spent time on the front lines with him was. She’s just another person using a relatives name for self promotion.

I guarantee you that the ONE thing you will not see at a Beck event will be an actual MODERATE who is ACTUALLY interested in finding a nonpartisan answer to problems. All Beck, or a Beck event will find are the “solutions” that the extreme right want to shove down people’s throats.

QUOTE
- All of the above will culminate in The Plan, a book that will provide specific policies, principles and, most importantly, action steps that each of us can take to play a role in this Refounding.

- On August 28, 2010, I ask you, your family and neighbors to join me at the feet of Abraham Lincoln on the National Mall for the unveiling of The Plan and the birthday of a new national movement to restore our great country.

Personally, I think Beck & Co are taking a terrible risk. His “Divine Destiny” rally tonight, a prelude to tomorrow’s rally, has a messianic tone that has made both evangelicals and constitutionalists uneasy. Mainstream Republicans are staying away because they don’t know what will happen and aren’t sure they want to be associated with it.

Everyone recognizes that the timing and location, whether by coincidence or design, are provocative. Sharpton is (wisely) keeping his rhetoric and his followers low-key, but will anyone be able to control 100,000 expected Tea Party activists?

If it goes as planned, it will signal a powerful new movement in American politics. If not…?

Hey, Nancy! They want more God in our daily lives! But whose God? Beck’s a Mormon. His God? The fundamentalist Christian’s God? Catholic? Jewish? Muslim? How about MY God? He/she’s not associated with any organized religion and is loathe to interfere in our day-to-day affairs. You think they’d go for that?

Arguing over whose God is the true God has started more wars than any territorial dispute. Maybe we should just leave God out of this.

F.Y.I. Annette, not everyone believes the same things you do. Some of the most brilliant people in the world, like Spinoza and Einstein, believed in a non-interventionist God. Sorry Wayne, how about I sit back and listen to Beck when you sit back and listen to Michael Moore or a propagandist from the extreme left fringe.
Millions of people attend Michael Moore’s movies, way more than the 100,000 that will attend a Beck event. Does that give credibility to Michael Moore? Of course not. But because I mention that this is obviously an extreme “right” event with one speaker that is self-promoting at the expense of a murdered family member I’m lodging an “attack”? Excuse me while I giggle!

Let me put this as clearly as possible- There are no answers to be found in the EXTREME FRINGE of the right OR the left, in fact, there is no common sense to be found there at all, no matter how many lunatic’s are willing to buy into the foot stomping, overly emotional drivel spewed by the leaders of such “movements”.
The ANSWERS will only be found when people start paying attention to the vast middle that exists in this country, people who don’t rely on extreme talking heads or positions that will will never go over with the vast majority of American voters.

I did not bring Alveda King into the discussion, though I am sure it burns those who don’t really care who she is as long as she has the “King” after her name to use for their purpose.

Beck IS AN extremist, and just like I do not take the time to listen to Rachael Maddow or far left personalities, I would not take the time to listen to him. As is appropriate, the same way I judge those on the extreme left, I judge those on the extreme right. I would also hope that if I were in here selling a Michael Moore event as the “solution” to America’s problems or even suggesting that there was a slight chance he would have them, someone might point out that Michael more was not exactly an “unbiased” sort to run a “nonpartisan” political event.

What I don’t like is someone getting on their bully pulpit and forcing their idea of God on everyone else. Glen Beck is a charlatan! He said that people should “run away” from churches that practice social justice.

Social justice was central to Christ and his life on earth. Social justice was the very essence of his being and no other historical figure embodied the concept of social justice more than Christ — yet, Glen Beck says to “run away” from it! And, you want me to listen to him try and use his little soapbox to tell me about God? Please!!!!

I also do not consider Beck a “GOPer”, at least not a mainstream “GOPer”, he is way to on the right fringe for that. I have a lot of friends who are very much mainstream, very normal, Republican’s and only one of them will admit to watching Beck. The one who does says he watches is for “entertainment value”, and calls Beck’s antics “to fake for words”, but watches anyway the same way some people watch Jerry Springer.
and speaking of Jerry Springer- Millions of people watch him every day too, and he could probably easily get a 100,000 brain dead people who watch him on TV every day to show up on the mall for one of his hair pulling, trashy events.

AVBB, I have unfortunately watched the Beck show several times as a couple local businesses, including my eye doctor, have Fox playing 24/7 it appears. I can almost feel the brain cells dying every time I try.
It’s not something unique to Beck, I would feel the same way if forced to watch some of the commentators on MSNBC who play to the extreme left, and I’ve never even seen one of them fake cry on national television.

I’ve got to admit that I like my news without views or political tilt in either direction. I prefer shows that treat the American public as intelligent people capable of making up their own mind.
I avoid like the plague the wanna-be Svengali’s that dress up their opinions as fact and attempt to start quasi-religious movements dedicated to furthering some ultra left, or right, wingnut agenda. As the grandchild of people who fled Germany as Hitler rose to power, just call it a suspicious nature of extreme viewpoints.

I am very content to be a moderate, with dear friends and relatives on all sides of the political spectrum who all make sense to me.
It is weird to me that so many, otherwise rational people are moving to extreme viewpoints on both sides of the political spectrum, because neither fascism nor totalitarianism have ever appealed to me.
Nor do I get the viewpoint that anyone who disagrees with an extreme viewpoint has to be “evil” or “wrong”, a “nazi” or a “leftist”.

It’s really not just about Beck, he is a symptom of a much more ominous disease- the plague of irrationality. It appears to be infectious and its destroying everything that has made this country the best place on earth.

Americans USED to be AMERICANS. We knew how to come together, and the fringe groups stayed on the fringe, largely ignored by the mainstream. Now it appears that the nuttier and more extreme you are, the more likely it is that you’ll get an hour slot on a network news show. The American ideal of finding common ground and coming together to make this country great has been replaced by a wedge and a hammer and plenty of talking heads lined up to drive people apart.

I’d be a complete cynic by now, except I wake up every day surrounded by a whole lot of people that don’t judge anyone on how they vote, and agree or disagree on politics, they still know that most of us are coming from the same place, no matter what our voter registration says. In politics, just like in life, moderation works.

Just a post script for the record- I know plenty of people that are very Liberal who would never hate someone, or call them names or attempt to degrade them, simply because they disagree politically.
I know several die hard Conservatives that would never do any of those things either.
Every one of them has the ability to separate the personal from the political, they don’t feel like they have to demonize people they simply don’t have a lot in common with politically.
That, to me, separates “extremists” from the rest of the pack, that need to destroy or make an enemy out of others over politics. It’s not healthy. It does not matter to me if its from the left or right, it is exactly the same sort of mindset that was used by a whole population to justify the wholesale extermination of more than 6 million innocents not all that long ago.

What exactly do “moderates” believe?

For example, if a woman chose to kill her kids do “moderates” take an extreme position?

Is being a moderate a cop out?

For example, if a woman kills her kids the “moderate” waits to see what the majority thinks before they decide a position.

I know a moderate auto mechanic neither fixes or allows your car not to start. Is that what a “moderate” is?

Can you name some great “moderates” in history?

So a “moderate” is a friend to everyone, a person that nods their head in agreement at even the most outlandish of programs.

A moderate is if the trains run on time I’m happy but considers that a “moderate” position.

A moderate is one the neither agrees or disagrees. So I suspect only the very extreme will agree or disagree with me.

Take a position like killing people is wrong and suddenly you are no longer a “moderate.”
