Now I'm confused....
Yesterday, Rex’ paid minions were on here telling us that Rex had nothing to apologize for and that Christianity was not a hate crime.
Today, the paper reports that His Majesty apologizes to a group of Muslims and Jews for making them feel left out. It seems that Rex needs to get his followers in a little better marching order. Interestingly, one of those guys in Rex’ little group looked like he’d just eaten a lemon. I don’t think he was that happy to be there.
Also, was it my imagination or did Sherry basically spit in Rex’ eye in front of the news media by refusing to apologize to the Muslims? Well, I take that back. I’m not sure if she was apologizing to the news media for something or to the group of people there who were not Christians. I think she was probably apologizing to the news media. For what I can’t imagine since this has been a great story for the local media.
I guess Sherry can only take so much pot-pushing and Muslims from Rex.
Anyway, I’m glad that Rex finally came around to Arnold Rodio’s viewpoint. I think it’s a much more inclusive world view.
Also, did Ace Carter take that picture of Rex and the Muslims?

A rabbi took the photo? How was I supposed to know that? The rabbi would have been behind the camera. I can’t tell by looking at a photo if the person taking it is a rabbi or not.

It was a staged event. All on the dais were his friends. He came up with some BS that when he said Lancaster was a Christian City he just meant from ethical perspective or some BS. His original speech he mentioned the Christian issue twice.
it wouldn’t have gone so smooth had he allowed any religious leader to attend.
he wants to control the media. In fact, he tried to have me thrown out.

Actually, I am very interested in the advertised ‘reason’ why Parris doesn’t want you there, AVTC. I understand the real reason, I am just wondering what he says is the reason.

I write crapola was his words. he also contend I’m not representing real news because we don’t print hard copy. We used to, we went on-line because it’s cheaper and allows for more expansion and content—including videos (which I hope to start posting in the future), TV News doesn’t print, nor does radio. The internet is the wave of the future.
The Seattle Press Intelligencer went totally on line last year. So did several others with more to follow.
I am a credentialed reporter. After this debate, that’s when he claimed that I just write crapola. Which may very well be true. But it seems to be aimed at him and his cronies. I gues she doesn’t like it and can’t control it.
if you notice a lot of the other publications around, he has nice big expensive banner ads. This helps defray the cost of publication, but it also just might have some influence. By going on line and NOT excepting advertisements except for little small mom and pop business we are under no influence.

I am glad to hear Mayor Parris offer the words of reconcillation to the entire community – both Muslims and non-Muslims.
For him, that was a gigantic step in realizing that his allegiance was not to protect a sitting council member but to keep his city united and moving forward. United is the key word that determines each and every action a mayor takes for united we stand, devided we fall. I praise him for taking a step back, truly examining the harm that was done, assessing the hurt that was never necessary to fuel and standing up for his city and all of his constituents. There are many things that the mayor does not carry out in a way that makes many of us feel his mannerism is one of inclusiveness. But perhaps we’re looking at the need for a learning curve for someone who comes from a world where everything is either black or white and nothing is gray. In our world, the scales can tip within a moment’s notice and our Mayor must be prepared to react with sincerity, humility and courage.
That is what Mayor Parris offered this community with his words of reconcilliation and I hope everyone will receive his olive branch with a spirit of understanding. There are very few of us who have lived perfect existences; we are all works in progress. I’m willing to allow someone I usually spank have the same ability to rise to the occasion and learn from his missteps. Even as upset with Mayor Parris as I may get at times, the reality is that he is always trying to come up with a new idea to uplift Lancaster. I may not always agree with the idea but the fact is he’s always thinking, discerning, attempting to move forward, and willing to take a risk. I’m giving him a pass on this issue because his heart wasn’t about dividing a city, just encouraging points that he thought would promote Lancaster.

As far as Rex’s followers are concerned, I think they flap their lips without thinking. They anticipate what the Master will say and then they are caught off guard.
If only the had their own minds. It would not matter what the master says, or intends to say, it would only matter what they themselves feel. They would talk from a level of authentic feeling rather then a level of contrived thinking.

Rex’s followers do not have their minds. They are minions almost attached to his hairy hips. Their lips are affixed to his feet and they crawl behind him waiting for him to throw them a bone.

AV Town Crier – when I got locked out you and I knew who did it. Slowly but surely the bulldozer is rolling in Rex’s direction and he couldn’t afford the negative coverage anymore.
But there are more people to blame then Rex and it’s upsetting that we aren’t seeing that.
There’s the Runners who this community probably made Multimillionaires.
There’s good ole’ Frank Visco who this community probably made a multi-multi-multi millionaire.
There’s Jim Gilley with the same multi-millionaire status
And many more who sit quietly in the City of Lancaster upper echelon and grin down at us peasants.
Don’t just finger Rex. Finger them all.
And finger those that got variances and arrogantly spit out words that will someday have to taken back and eaten. Right Randy??? If Rex is out — the council needs to review all variances among other things.
