I have known several people who had liberal views concerning certain minorities. Well this person first got robbed and he had rented out part of his house which was later second fire by arson two times the last finished it off. They grabbed his keys out of the business doors his brother owned and then proceeded steal his car. I and him found the car right where I figured it would be over on Ave Q and 11 street. The back window was busted out and anything of value gone.

I have watched the owner over the years have to upgrade his security of his car wash, he has spent thousands because of the hundredss of dollars stolen each time they found a new way in. Go look at it, its the Suds laudramat over by Richard Hammack Center,it looks like the ghetto and the crime is like the ghetto. I have been in there and watched them take a coat hanger and reach their the bars and grab candy with it. One time the owner’s son was distracted and they made off with a coffee can full of 25 cent pieces. But the worse thing I had to endure was listen to this skinny little pencil necked geek of an illegal alien from Mexico just run his mouth off about the USA. It took every bit of my will power to not grab him by his pencil neck and shut the noise off for good.

I was in Tuscon when the Arizona Immigration Law was passed, and a bunch of very nice buses pulled up and began discharging protesters. Many could not speak English, two came from my motel, and a lot of them were illegal because I asked. The Buses were tour buses from the hotels. I asked where they were from and it turned out they were SEIU members coming to protest the law. Later that month, I was in Las Vegas Nevada to watch Reid campaign with Obama Those same magnificent buses pulled up and out come a whole lot of people from the hotels who then demonstrated and hoorayed the President and Mr. Reid. If they vote.. the hotel tour buses will arrange to have those illegal aliens where they can vote a couple of times in fact.

I don’t know of anything in NAFTA that says we must tolerate people working here with permission. If SEIU wants to be seen as anything less than hypocritical, then they need to support things like e-verify and secure IDs. That will help to separate legal from illegal in most cases. Unless of course SEIU’s real agenda is seeing to it that our laws are not enforced. That seems the most likely.

If Ridgeway had been an minority, he wouldn’t have been shot, I remember a few years ago a black nutcase was waving a katana around and the cops(LAPD) got the LAFD to turn a high pressure water hose at this thug who intended to fight the cops with a sword. And then you have Special Order 4o and the recent decision to not impond the cars of illegal immigrants driving without insurance and a driver’s license. While I am required to obey all the laws whether I like them or not, it seems to be slective enforcement of our laws in favor of minorities and illegal immigrants. Roxi from what I gather you grew up in the south and faced racism by redneck cops in the south, thats not the case in california where the cops hands are tied because of political correctness and a Los Angeles mayor who is more concerned about illegal aliens rights then the safety of american citizens.

What if said cop is in the wrong? what if he is trying to enforce something that isn’t a law? The cops don’t know the law like they are lawyers. If the feds send an agent and tell the police to do something, they assume it is legal and follow orders. Now what if the officer is trying to take your weapons or is trying to arrest you for speech? Are you going to bow to a badge that is in the wrong or stand up for your rights and freedoms?
Badge doesn’t equal right always.

My point with this is that cops are trained to handle tense situations, and are told that ‘shoot to kill’ should be their last option. There’s been too many people killed in the line of duty by cops – when all they were holding was a cel phone.

Cops could ‘shoot to wound’, like they did with this guy in Lake LA. More of that, and less of unloading rounds of ammo in the backs of ‘perps’ seems a bit more “professional”?

You are correct in that situation. My comments were aimed a someone who clearly broke the law (or was suspected of) and resisted officers. If a officer came to confiscate my weapons, they would be meant with deadly force. They would have to “pry the weapon from my cold dead fingers.”

With that said, I have been out in the field covering news stories and have witnessed the deputies (here in the AV) and for the most part they seem to be vary aware of the US Constitution. Yes there are exception and yes, In Lancaster the Mayor has used undo authority to use the sheriff’s dept. for political gain.

However, I’m more concerned with the feds than I am of local law enforcement (except if they are working under federal authority).

law enforcement will never shoot to wound not when they are face with deadly force. Wounding someone with a gun won’t prevent them from shooting. In the dark or with rapid movement, even a cellphone looks like a gun. The cops have no choice. The perp makes the decision. A knife wielding suspect, that’s a different story.

We have the luxury of debating this issue, the cops have to make split-second decisions.

A lot of people think cops are trigger happy. let me explain what happens if a LA County deputy fires a weapon (This only applies to the sheriff’s dept.).
1. Station investigates.
2. Robbery/homicide investigates.
3. Internal Affairs investigates.
4. The DA rolls out a team that investigates.
5. There’s a civilian over-site committee that reviews the case.

No deputy in his/her right mind wants to go thru all this, especially if it can lead to suspension, demotion, loss of job, or prison.

Every now and then he pops up on poker night and makes everyone feel uncomfortable with his insane pratle about starting a militia. I just reported what was told to the sheriff’s dept who responded to the call. At the time of the shooting, he had removed his vest and ditched the rifle. Though at that moment the sheriff’s didn’t know that. When he was spotted roaming the hillside he was armed and wearing a vest.

They lost sight of him and then he reappeared in a storage shed behind another family’s home with kids inside. They couldn’t tell at that time whether he still had the weapon or the vest.
